In this economy, it costs me almost $5,000 just to get my band on the road, and most clubs are unable to help with that expense anymore. With the war in Iran pushing gas prices up, hotels about 4% higher than last year, and travel overall more than 20% above where it was before the pandemic, it’s all landing on the artist. I’m still going to show up and play, but we need leaders who understand this. Please vote for change, for working musicians and everyone feeling these costs.#midterms by @walterbeasley
