While celebrating yesterday’s Husky Band Day with our high school band, and the other high school bands, we take a moment to observe 9/11 and 9/12. We pay tribute to the victims of 9/11, and we keep in through the beloved members of Husky Family who died that day. Our music marches on, in memory. #huskies #remeber911forever #theloyalband #bellevuehighband #bellevuehighcymbals by @wanggggggggie

Seattle PD involved — Ballard stolen-Mercedes pursuit

On September 1st, around 2:28pm, an SPD Patrol officer spotted a Mercedes without a front plate near Northwest 65th street in Ballard. A plate checked revealed the rear tag was mismatched. When lights and siren were activated, the driver fled, speeding more than 20 mph over the speed limit through residential streets close a school zone. For public safety, officers shut down the active pursuit. Police later located the abandoned car. The two occupants were caught on foot nearby. Officers recovered an unserialized handgun, narcotics, and stolen payment cards. The male driver had actively felony warrants. Both were taken into custody.
