happy birthday to the biggest inspiration i’ve had, to the woman who always made me feel pretty and smart enough and good enough for this world that… brings me down . she is someone who fights for what’s right. i miss her a lot, but i know that not being on social media that often is a step we all should take. i’m trying to log out and be more present, rather than spending that much time on the internet, but today is special, because it’s her birthday, happy birthday, i wish you the best in everything! 🌘🌹 by @watsonmood

slowly turning into a bookstagram or what?
author: J.D. Salinger
— read this book about two weeks ago and i strongly recommend it to everyone, not only the book is relatable, but it gives you the feeling that Holden, the protagonist, is your friend, that he is talking to you through the pages and telling you the story over a drink. this 16 years old boy who gets expelled for the third time, he ran away from school and killed his time in freezing new york for a few days that even though seemed meaningless at first, they help him change and realize what the most important things in his life are.
— update : i re-read this in february 2023 and i have to say that it has to be one of my favorites for a really long time. it deeply moved me. by @watsonmood

said 'no' to this book many times before finally giving it a chance. the book is made out of anonymous letters that Charlie is writing during his freshman year of highschool, trying to heal after his best friend michael’s suicide. the most magical thing is that the more i grow up, the more i find myself in this character and the more i read it, the more it feels like i am looking through my own diary. it’s true.
There are books for everybody. Luckily, I found mine. ♡ (oct 2018, feb 2019, jan 2023)

this book is on top of my 'Next read' list.
I can tell that the most beautiful thing in this world is the feeling you get when you discover yourself while reading.
Emma wrote in one of her latest posts that self-education is an essential part of any anti-racist journey and reading had always been a huge part of her personal learning. I want to dig deeper, i encourage you to do the same. ‘Why I'm No Longer Talking To White People About Race' and any other feminist books recommended by @oursharedshelf . 🖤 by @watsonmood
