WORD OF THE MONTH: FORTITUDE 🥊🧠
“The strongest weapons are always forged through the fire.”For November, in honor of Men’s Health Awareness Month, our Word of the Month is FORTITUDE.This month, we highlight WBC champion Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington (@bruce_carrington). True men’s health isn’t defined strictly by physical strength—it relies on mental harmony, emotional resilience, and the inner grit to overcome life’s fires. No one understands this balance better than a fighter. Every time a warrior steps into the ring, their mental health dictates how they endure the storm. Bruce exemplifies what it means to build unbreakable mental fortitude alongside elite physical mastery, showing us that taking care of your mind is just as essential as training your body.Take care of your mind. Honor your battle.

WORD OF THE MONTH: INDOMITABLE 🥊✨
“It’s more than boxing. When you’re standing here, it’s all coming together and has been worth it.” — Dina Thorslund @dinathorslund
For October, in honor of Women’s Health Awareness Month, our Word of the Month is INDOMITABLE.This month, we shine a light on the incredible WBC champion Dina Thorslund. Behind every championship belt is a human story of sacrifice. Facing immense personal hardships including a painful miscarriage that required her to step away and vacate her titles. Dina showed what true resilience looks like. She refused to let life’s hardest blows keep her down, returning to the ring to reclaim her glory with unmatched heart. Her journey is a powerful reminder that true strength isn’t just about winning fights, it’s about rising every time life knocks you flat.

WORD OF THE MONTH: HEROIC 🥊✨

“I want to show people that no matter what you’re going through, you can keep fighting.” — Jesselyn “JessZilla” Silva

For September, in observance of Pediatric Brain Cancer Awareness Month, our Word of the Month is HEROIC.

This month, we honor the extraordinary Jesselyn Silva. Faced with an aggressive brain tumor, the young boxing prodigy met her ultimate challenge with the exact same unyielding spirit she carried into the ring. She didn’t just fight for her own survival; she became an enduring symbol of courage and hope for children everywhere.

Let her words and her fierce spirit stay with you today.

WORD OF THE MONTH: REDEMPTION 💚

Redemption begins the moment we choose to move forward.

For David Benavidez, every challenge became an opportunity to grow stronger. Through discipline, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to his goals, he has shown that setbacks do not define who we are. The choices we make afterward do.

As we recognize Substance Abuse Awareness Month and support the WBC Clean Boxing Program, we are reminded that asking for help, making healthy choices, and believing in second chances are all signs of strength.

Every champion has a story. Redemption is about writing the next chapter.

💬 What does redemption mean to you?

💚 WORD OF THE MONTH: GENEROSITY

True champions don’t keep success to themselves. They share it.

For Devon Alexander, generosity means creating opportunities for others. A three-time world champion, he has dedicated his life to mentoring young people and strengthening his community through the Devon Alexander Foundation.

His mission is simple: help others believe in themselves and understand that their circumstances do not define their future.

Generosity isn’t what we give. It’s the lives we uplift.

This July, we also recognize the Jose Sulaimán Boxers Fund, supporting fighters and their families when they need it most.

At WBC Cares, we honor those who use their success to inspire hope and create opportunity inside and outside the ring.

💬 Who has shown you generosity in your life?

WORD OF THE MONTH: FREEDOM 💚🖤❤️

June is a time to honor Juneteenth and reflect on the meaning of freedom, not only in history but also in the lives we create and the voices we choose to embrace.

For Franchón Crews-Dezurn, freedom means being unapologetically yourself. A champion inside the ring and a creator outside of it, she has built her own path through boxing, music, fashion, and self-expression.

Known as the Heavy Hitting Diva, Franchón never limited herself to one identity. From appearing on American Idol, to designing fashion, to becoming a world champion, her journey reminds us that success does not come from fitting into a mold. It comes from having the courage to be yourself.

Her Freedom Belt represents more than victory. It represents individuality, perseverance, and the right to live authentically.

As we celebrate Juneteenth, we also remember the importance of building communities rooted in respect, understanding, and peace.

💚Did you know that in just
seven minutes you could save someone’s life?
You don’t have to know the right answers all you have to do is reach out.
Take a moment and listen. Sometimes listening is all the hope another person needs.
See them..hear them... hug them... just be there.

WORD OF THE MONTH: PROTECT 💚🧠

For Nico Ali Walsh, protecting fighters is part of his legacy. Inspired by his grandfather, Muhammad Ali, he continues to stand for the rights, dignity, and future of boxers everywhere.

The Ali Act was created to give fighters control of their careers and their destiny. It is a reminder that every boxer deserves fairness, transparency, and protection.

Protect your name.
Protect your family.
Protect your future.

🎥 As Nico shares, his grandfather’s vision was always about protecting fighters and giving them the power to shape their own path.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a reminder that protecting yourself goes beyond the ring. It means protecting your mind, your future, and your well-being.
