For World Design Capital 2024, Don Hollis @1donjulio, Creative Director and Principal at Hollis Brand Culture @hollis_bc, led a year-long creative endeavor to develop the brand story and identity system, built to scale across 600+ events and regional partners. Their team crafted a modular identity and brand universe that could unify institutions, partners, and events under a shared vision, while still giving space for individual voices. Hollis Brand Culture shaped more than a visual identity, they built a brand universe expansive enough to hold two cities, hundreds of partners, and one shared future. #WDC2024 #designis #BrandIdentity #BrandUniverse #DesignLeadership #worldesigncapital2024 by @wdcsandiegotijuana2024

Meet Sharlinee Ceniceros @sharlineeceniceros, architect and urban designer, whose initiatives for World Design Capital San Diego Tijuana 2024 focused on reimagining public spaces and preserving cultural heritage through conscious urban design. Her impactful projects include the Museo del Muro and the restoration of the Agua Caliente Casino in Tijuana, both part of the Planning and Placemaking group. The Museo del Muro envisions a space to tell the shared history of the San Diego Tijuana region, fostering dialogue and understanding through design. Meanwhile, the restoration of the iconic Agua Caliente Casino—a once-thriving hub for both U.S. and Mexican visitors—seeks to revitalize this historic site into a vibrant public space that celebrates cross-border heritage. Through her studio, Se Hace Arquitectura, Sharlinee focuses on addressing urgent regional needs by proposing thoughtful, site-responsive designs that prioritize public spaces, historical preservation, and urban functionality. Her work embodies a vision of architecture that builds cities and brings communities together. @se_hace_arquitectura @sehaceciudad #wdc2024 #worldesigncapital2024 #communityinitiatives by @wdcsandiegotijuana2024
