Oof oof!
Take a look at this years official tee and cap.
Designed by BIF guests @goodbye_press (Ben Marcus) & @sandw1tchshop.
.
A few are up via the 🔗 now (so you can spend all your dollar on the weekend on our exhibitors) and you’ll be able to collect on the day.
.
Will of course have them available over the weekend too.

Another gaze at this year’s fantastic poster by @annadegnbol with a reminder of what’s going down over the weekend too.
Plenty for all ages to get involved in, look at, listen to and of course pick up for yourself and those spesh people in your lives.
The guests are only a tip of the iceberg of the creatives getting involved in the weekends festivities. We’ll be deep diving into the programme over the next month so keep em peeled.

Can’t wait to see you all…soon! by @wearebif

Roll up, roll up! Tickets for BIF 2026 are here!

In 2025, we welcomed back almost 2,000 of you to meet exhibitors and guests across a full weekend of illustration-based fun and games. Prints, zines, comics, books, ceramics, talks, workshops, screenings - loads to look at, loads to get stuck into, loads of lovely people doing what they do best.

This year, we’re building on that. Same spirit. More artists. More things to see and do. Another jam-packed weekend celebrating illustration in all its weird, wonderful, scribbly glory - from first-time exhibitors to familiar faces, from a casual browse to properly getting involved.

Whether you’re a die-hard BIF-er or just fancy a wander, it’s all about illustration, community, and spending a couple of days surrounded by good work and good people.

Come find your new favourite artist!

The Wickywock will be screening this Sunday as part of Brighton Illustration Festival (@wearebif ) and I’ll be giving a little talk on it and my other film The Gods Of Minor Ailments… plus you might get a chance to meet some of the puppets (assuming they’ll behave and fit in my suitcase without fighting)

Using it as an excuse to share our fabulous trailer by the very excellent @dslade … by @wearebif

Need a pick me up? Head to The Wing where we have a trio of amazing, independent food and coffee sellers to keep you well fuelled. Great coffee & drinks from Bolt Espresso! Focaccia sandwiches and doughnuts from Lorenzo's Dough! Mediterranean-inspired salads and other deli delights from At The Table! Delicious and available all weekend by @wearebif

PSA: Listen to Ibbi!

For those that haven’t visited bif before we have two huuuge rooms stuffed full of incredible artists selling their work so make sure you do a full lap (or two) of The Wing!! by @wearebif

The pen is mightier than the sword, or so they say. Head to Wagner Hall and join two illustrators Patrick Gildersleeves (YUK FUN) and Elsa Hingley-Knight (2B Or Not 2B) engage in a battle to complete your requests in the scariest arena imaginable; live public illustration.

Inspired by YUK FUN’s popular online weekly drawing club. Will there be horses with buff knees? Will Patrick do an impression of Sean Bean? Will we see a doodle of Dora the cat surfing? (Almost definitely)

There’s only one way to find out….

Bring your quills, scrolls and jester’s privilege (aka pens, sketchbooks and I guess a little whimsy) and join in! by @wearebif

As we roll ever closer to the weekend here are some FAQs we're asked each year around the event and venue. If you need any help on the weekend seek out one of our team of volunteers who will be happy to assist! by @wearebif

Grab a seat and settle in for an hour of animation! We wrap the weekend at Wagner Hall with a selection of short films sent in through our BIF26 animation open call, from established animators and first-timers alike. A perfect way to wind down your bif weekender! by @wearebif
