2025 End of year - What’s in The Bag

Driver - Titleist TSR 3 - set to standard at 9 degrees
Fairway - Titleist TSR3 at 16.5 degrees playing as a 4 wood
Hybrid - Titleist TS2
Irons - Mizuno Pro 221 4-PW
Wedges - Titleist Vokey SM10 (50, 54, 58) in the raw finish
Putter - Scotty Cameron Santa Fe Tei3
Bag - a custom 8” MacKenzie with two pockets

These were the clubs I carried for all of 2025. I am not one to tinker with my main set of clubs often. I always like seeing’s what out there in the market, but generally stay pretty consistent with my own bag. To keep things fresh, I will play with a half set every once in a while, which can be a fun way to experience a course you play regularly and can help creativity with shot making.

Some cool snaps from the past week! Golf and in between. How are Christmas Tree cakes already out? Not mad. This song is what I imagine was going though Wellie’s mind in the car in the last pic. by @wellingtongolfco

Turtle Point - Kiawah Island, SC

I had the opportunity to go out as a single this morning in the first group, setting the pace on a chilly morning. What a day!

Designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1981, Turtle Point is one of the five courses at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. A classic Nicklaus design, the course rewards accuracy and thoughtful shot placement, with strategically positioned bunkers, water hazards, and challenging green complexes. There is an awesome stretch of holes (14, 15, and 16) where the course emerges from the maritime forest and plays along the Atlantic Ocean.

Wind was a pretty sizable factor today, with sustained around 15-20 mph with larger gusts. This added a challenge to the precision required out at Turtle!

This makes 4/5 for the resort courses on Kiawah, leaving Oak Point to round out the list.

Tentative ranking:
Ocean
Cougar
Turtle
Osprey
