Living the life I desire💫

POSTS STORIES REELS

21 year old me couldn't fathom running more than 3 miles, freelancing, or having as much fun as I am now 😅 It’s insane where life takes you.

People ask why I run. It was never the miles. It was becoming someone who finishes what she starts.

What no one tells you about running in your 30s: recovery hits different

Days 1-3 after my first half marathon, I basically didn't move. Runner's knee showed up, so I rested - massage gun on rotation, Garmin OFF (no stats judging my rest), full couch mode.

Day 3 I got a massage and it leveled up my recovery. Most of my mobility came back... I was still walking backwards down the stairs though. Progress is progress

Rest first. Really rest. Then start slow. That's the whole formula.

What's your weirdest post-race recovery move? I need to compare notes 👇🏾

3:20:14. My first half marathon. FASTER than my target time 🏅

17 weeks ago I was nervous about taking on the challenge. Today I ran 13.1 across two countries.

My favorite moment? It was on the Ambassador Bridge, cheering on fellow runners and sharing encouraging words with strangers mid-race. That's the part I'll remember.

Mile 10 tried to take me out, y'all! I slowed down, adjusted, and locked in where it counted. No heroics, just one foot in front of the other.

To every woman in her 30s starting something scary: you're not late. You're right on time. 🧡

To @freepmarathon, thank you for an unforgettable race 💙

Only 2 more days until I reach the starting line of my first half marathon. I can't begin to describe to feelings bubbling inside of me right now.

I'm confident that I'll succeed because I've already done the work and Sunday will be the day I celebrate the dedication I've put in since June.

If you are running at the @freepmarathon this weekend. I hope you are proud of the dedication you put forth to get here cause I sure am.

I'll see you at the starting line 💜
