Maruti posted some record shattering numbers in October 2026. A total of 2.76 lakh cars shifted — including domestic and exports. This beats their earlier record of 2.43 lakh in May 2026, and 2.41 lakh in July 2026. The Swift on screen appears at exactly 10 second intervals so you can see exactly what this number means. You’d have to play this reel on repeat for a month for it to hit that number by @whatesh
Day well spent with the Hyundai Bayon! Love the new Hyundai design language, I think it looks fresh. Sharp, angular but really neat touches. Love the back — especially the rear arches, and how they flare out from the body. The interior is pretty sorted too. Nice chonky steering wheel, generous use of buttons, no Hyundai logo but the four morse code dots instead — it’s all very well done. Can’t talk too much about the driving yet, but I can tell you that it gets a singular 1.5 naturally-aspirated petrol engine. CNG is coming early next year. There’s heavy overlap with the Creta right now, but once the Creta moves upmarket next year, this will fill the void between the Creta and Venue nicely. Review on @powerdrift soon! by @whatesh
The Maserati GT2 Stradale is an extreme track-focussed, road going version of the MC20. Think Maserati’s GT3 RS. The Nettuno V6 puts out big power to just the rear wheels, it comes packing some serious aero and is dripping in carbonfibre. This or the GT3 RS? The Duster hybrid easily has the best hybird drivetrain on the better side of ₹25 lakh, but it isn’t perfect. Here are what we think are hits and misses on Renault’s latest SUV. What do you think of the Duster hybrid? by @whatesh
The Defender is now assembled in India! ₹99 lakh is the starting price for the entry level 2-litre engined car. ₹1.18 crore for the 3 litres, both petrol and diesel. That’s a solid price drop and registration etc should be cheaper too considering it isn’t a CBU any more. If you’ve been considering a Defender, there’s no time like now! by @whatesh
Classic Range Rover vs Range Rover Electric! The Range Rover Electric is based on the current generation car, sharing platform, styling and interior bits. But the nameplate has a history stretching way back to the ’70s. Which do you prefer? by @whatesh
The Range Rover Electric range has an electric range ranging from 600km to 609km on the WLTP… Jokes aside, we just spent two spectacular days in the Scottish highlands with a brace of Rangies. Range Rover Electric and Range Rover Sport Electric lead the EV charge for the brand. The claim here is that these SUVs are Range Rovers first and EVs second. And while I risk breaking the embargo by commenting on whether they’ve managed that or not, what I can say is that they look bang identical to their ICE counterparts, and that’s a great place to start. Reviews drop soon but in the mean time, enjoy the scenery! by @whatesh
The Range Rover Sport Electric shares its platform with the standard Range Rover and there’s some innovative bits that make it interesting: ➡️ Battery management system sits in the transmission tunnel ➡️ Front motor is vertically mounted so it shares the same mounting points as the engine. Same motor used at the front and rear ➡️ Battery sits in the floor and is perfectly integrated in to the MFA Flex right from the get go What do you think of Range Rovers going electric? by @whatesh
We are driving the new Range Rover Electric! The claim is that it is a Range Rover first, and then an EV. On the exterior and interior, that certainly seems to hold up but does it do the same on the driving front? You’re going to have to wait for the first drive review for that. In the mean time, do you have questions on the Range Rover Electric? by @whatesh
Three days ago, Stellantis and Tata Motors turned their February MoU into a definitive agreement. Tata will give Stellantis access to its vehicle architecture and product technology. Stellantis will build cars on that base for more than 50 global markets, all made at the Fiat-Tata joint venture plant in Ranjangaon, Pune. ➡️ 12 launches in 3 years: 5 Jeep, 7 Citroën (7 all-new, 5 major upgrades) ➡️ Covers B, C and D SUVs, an MPV, an A-segment car and a premium pickup ➡️ First launch by Q2 2027 ➡️ ₹4,000 crore fresh investment, taking the India total to about ₹15,000 crore by 2030 ➡️ ICE, hybrid, PHEV and EV, chosen segment by segment ➡️ 90% localisation target across both brands The numbers give Stellantis some backing. Its India business grew 35% in Q2 over Q1, and Citroën retail sales are up 68% year on year. Which car are you most excited for? by @whatesh
A highlight on Rolls-Royces is the starlight headliner that makes the passengers feel like they’re sitting under a star-filled sky. But how exactly does this work? We take you behind the scenes and show you the incredible engineering behind this delicate, but beautiful touch. by @whatesh
The Q3 was an important car for Audi, and they’ve nailed it. The Q3 is what took them to number one in the luxury car market in the past and while that it too tall an ask for the new one, it will certainly bolster numbers and sharpen Audi’s image in India. ➡️ Styling: I like it. The new design language is probably the prettiest of the three Germans and the Q3 wears it handsomely. No S Line kit for now — they’re saving that for a future product infusion or the facelift. Thankfully, no more poverty-spec wheels. ➡️ Interior: A big step up to stay relevant but not perfect. Nice materials, good ergonomics and some physical buttons remain. Virtual Cockpit is a downgrade compared to the older one, even though it now throws up Google Maps in front of the driver. Equipment that is sorely missed is a 360-degree camera and ventilated seats. The backseat is comfy but cant match the space of the LWB BMWs ➡️ Engine: Really the big highlight. 2-litre TFSI, same as before but with more power. Creamy smooth, plenty of grunt, willing to be pushed hard. Rivals in class have 1.3-litre and 1.5-litre petrols. This one stands head and shoulders above them. No diesel is still going to hurt, though. ➡️ Ride: Very mature ride and handling balance. Feels grown up. Comfy over bad patches, and stable at speed. Always been an Audi hallmark and happy to note that it continues with the new generation cars. ➡️ Price: This is the bit I’m worried about. Every conversation I had with the Audi team indicated that pricing might be higher than rivals. They have no interest in a price war. However, at the same time, Audi’s image in India isn’t as sorted as BMW’s or Merc’s and they have an uphill task of convincing people that not only is the car worth it, but the brand is worth it too. And an aggressive price might make that a bit easier.

Launch is in a couple of days. We will know the pricing then. But the Audi renaissance has begun. Can’t wait for the likes of the Q9 to bookend the other end of its line up! by @whatesh
