A home office can do more than provide a place to work. It can quietly introduce the feeling of the entire home.

For Spring Creek Hacienda in Bee Cave, we provided interior design consulting for the builder of this spec home, helping guide thoughtful selections throughout. This space offers a glimpse into the larger design story, where warm materials and modern elements create a cohesive feel.

This October, our team had the opportunity to visit @highpointmarket in North Carolina, the world’s largest home furnishings trade show!

We spent time exploring showrooms, getting a first look at new collections, and discovering beautiful pieces from some of our favorite manufacturers. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with industry partners, build new relationships, and discover new manufacturers whose collections we’re excited to consider for current and future projects alike!

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing some of the pieces, collections, and design trends that caught our eye as we explored the seemingly endless showrooms at High Point Market. Stay tuned!

Great indoor-outdoor living involves more than opening a wall of glass.

At this Austin, TX home located on four acres of wooded hillside, Wheelhouse Design considered how the interior and exterior spaces would work together, from creating continuity through furnishings and materials to arranging seating that takes advantage of the property's beautiful views.

Just as important was planning for the way people move between spaces when entertaining, with comfortable places to gather, clear paths for circulation, and an outdoor kitchen that supports hosting.

The goal is to make the transition between inside and out feel natural, whether the homeowners are enjoying a quiet afternoon or welcoming a houseful of guests.

Small tile. Big impact!

In this laundry room, penny tile brings texture and pattern to both the floor and backsplash. The subtle contrast created by the texture adds interest without competing with the clean cabinetry and hardware, providing a crisp finishing touch.

Even the most practical rooms deserve a little design attention.

It takes a lot of skilled work to bring any project to completion. Behind every beautifully shot project photo there are countless hours by many talented people, turning ideas into reality. We like to share glimpses into the process, pairing them with the final results.

Start to finish, we play an integral part… every step of the way.

Who says a family living room has to play it safe?

Emerald green chairs with a tiger motif, a boldly striped bone-inlay coffee table, and a dramatic dark fireplace wall bring plenty of personality to this newly remodeled Belton, TX home. Against the lighter sofa and softly patterned rug, those expressive elements can comfortably stand out without overwhelming the space.

And yes, that colorful image above the fireplace is actually a television displaying decorative artwork.

All in all, it's a room that balances everyday comfort with a rich mix of colors, patterns, and cultural influences that make it distinctly personal.

We love a primary bedroom that embraces being bold!

This space was built with layers of color, pattern, and texture, with its vibrant rug serving as the focal point and setting the tone for the room. From there, each piece adds to the story. Rich fabrics, block print inspired patterns, and touches of plum, coral, and soft neutrals invite depth and movement, while darker finishes help ground the brighter palette.

Collected, expressive, and completely shaped around our clients’ vibrant cultural heritage.

What is “custom?”
How about a 7-foot-tall, 8-foot wide fireplace surround, made from black stone imported from Mexico and chiseled to perfection by Materials Marketing, all starting from a sketch on a napkin in the sauna?

This fireplace surround is massive. From just about anywhere in the great room, it has your attention. And it’s one of the most talked-about features in the entire home.

This is a lesson in custom design.

If you can dream it, we can build it. 🔥

Two kitchenettes. Two colorful fridges. So much personality!

At our Bluebird Psychiatry project, we introduced bold wallpaper, unexpected color, and retro-inspired fridges to give each kitchenette its own energy, without needing a lot of square footage.

The result? They’re playful, practical, and charming.

Some of the best travel moments are the ones that completely shift the way you look at design. 🇳🇴

One of Jen’s favorite stops in Oslo included the Opera House and the city’s Public Library, and it’s easy to see why. Both are iconic modern civic buildings, but each creates such a different experience, from the dramatic exterior forms to the surprising details waiting inside.

There was so much to notice, photograph, and borrow as a source of inspiration. A great reminder that some of the best design ideas come from getting out, exploring, and experiencing spaces on a completely different scale.

Photoshoot day at our Belton project, and we are so excited to be at this stage! 📸

There is so much happening behind the scenes during a photoshoot. From finding the right angles and catching the best light to to styling every shot with care, it takes a seriously talented team to capture the feeling of a finished space.

After watching this remodel come together detail by detail, especially with so many custom furnishings and textures, seeing it through the camera feels like such a rewarding part of the process. It is where all of the materials, finishes, and thoughtful design decisions get to shine

We loved bringing all of the final details together and seeing the finished space captured through the camera. We cannot wait to share the professional photos from our Belton remodel soon. 🤍
