Whistler Wellness welcomes Manual Osteopathic Practitioner Gemma Ahrens to our clinic team! Gemma's will be seeing clients on Sunday mornings and her first shift will be tomorrow from 9am to 1pm! She will be adding Friday mornings in November You can learn more about her below or schedule a manual osteopathic treatment with her at this link: https://whistlerwellness.janeapp.com/#/manual-osteopathy ____________________ From Gemma: I graduated my degree in Australia in early 2022 and began working at Integrated Sports and Spinal Clinic. I have been incredibly lucky to work alongside amazing osteopaths with years of experience, participating in fortnightly mentoring sessions since I started. I have been treating patients of all ages, from infants to elderly with a vast array of musculoskeletal complaints. I treat using both structural and craniosacral therapy techniques, depending on the patient I am treating and their presenting complaint. My passion for Osteopathy began as a teenager when a back injury impacted my ability to continue my hobbies of aerial and dance. Osteopathic treatment helped me to return to my passion, and I decided then that this was the career I wanted for myself as I wished to help others return to the work, hobbies and activities they love. I also had the amazing opportunity last year to spend a ski season working in Japan with the guest services team at Rusutsu International Ski School. During this time I worked alongside many ski and snowboard instructors and regularly assessed and treated various conditions related to these snow sports. I developed a love for skiing and I am excited to continue this here in Canada. by @whistler_wellness

At Whistler Wellness, our team offers RMT massage therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, naturopathic consultations and medicine, counselling via telehealth (online) or in person to support you through the season ahead. Your knees, shoulders, back and nervous system would like a word before opening day! Slow season is a good opportunity to take things a little slower and deal with the little things before ski season turns them into bigger things. 🍂 Make some space for yourself this fall. Hello everyone! I’m so excited to share my next venture with you. This year, I’ve been working hard on my next career steps. It’s been a lot—and there is still so much more to come—but this is one of the first, and an especially important, steps for me. I’ve left government employment behind and returned to private practice, with a focus on working with **women in midlife**. My bio in the link shares a little more about my approach and the work I’ll be doing. This is a huge change for me, and I’m honestly overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to have the opportunity to return to this work in a way that feels deeply meaningful. And this is only the beginning. I’m also working on some other exciting opportunities that I’ll be able to share more about in the future—projects that bring together my love of **healing, connection, and travel**. They’re dreams I’ve carried for a long time, but until now, I haven’t had the resources or opportunity to bring them to life. So… stay tuned! There’s lots more to come. My practice with Whistler Wellness begins August 17th. ❤️ CLICK THE LINK IN MY BIO! 🔥 Please Share! 💓 by @whistler_wellness
