Happy @seahearnow weekend!

Still such an unforgettable experience three years ago with a special Sunday service at the festival from @alexandersimoneofficial and @whodatlivecrew!

There was something transcendent about being on the stage in the middle of the @apkickball field and pulling out that Nina Simone song…

We are blessed to have a music festival right in town that makes it a point to give artists that actually perform and contribute to this community a chance to play on the big stage.

That’s what makes this weekend so special.

Make sure to get there early both days for @jarodclemons and @blaise86 !!! by @whodatlivecrew

Be there when @alexandersimoneofficial & @whodatlivecrew bring their eclectic sound rooted in a mix of funk, soul and hip-hop to The Art Yard in Saturday, October 3 for Culture Around The Corner 🎶 🎤

Grandson of Nina Simone and a prolific musician in his own right, the songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist has been making music since he was 14. With catchy hooks, down-to-earth lyrics, and a style that moves across genres, he says, "When the music starts to play, I lose myself!"

Come witness this stunning performance and be a part of the moment!

On a beautiful Saturday night in July, fans lined up for local legends Des & The Swagmatics as they took over House of Independents in Asbury Park for their record release party. The night included two other great AP bands in Alexander Simone & WHODAT? Live Crew and Monte Maybe. Check out Erika’s coverage of an awesome adventure through funk, rock and soul at the link in bio or our story.
