Sometimes the trip you didn’t plan ends up being the one you needed all along. 🤎

We had to pivot from Kauai, and while it wasn’t the trip we originally planned, Scottsdale ended up giving us exactly what we needed—a little reset, quality time and a reminder that the best memories aren’t always the planned ones.

Our stay at the Four Seasons Scottsdale @fsscottsdale was the perfect mix of luxury and nature. 🌵✨ Beautiful views, tons of pool time, great food, and plenty of moments to slow down and just enjoy being together.

Maybe Kauai wasn’t meant to happen this time… because Scottsdale was exactly where we needed to be. ❤️

Sometimes you don’t need an answer.

You just need to run. 🏃‍♂️ Put one foot in front of the other.

Road therapy

Early in my career, I would chase guys to the world’s end with little regard for much else. Chasing bad guys is one of the most exhilarating and rewarding parts of this job.

However, through the experience of both my own and other officers, I’ve learned the juice ain’t always worth the squeeze. Too many officers, suspects and innocent citizens have been hurt and even killed at the cost of a pursuit.

Maybe I’m getting old but I’ve learned as fun as a vehicle pursuit can be, many times it’s just not worth it. Over the years a few guys have gotten away and I’m ok with it. At the end of the day, they always get caught - and at the end of my day I get to home to my family.

But, I won’t lie and say it doesn’t sting a little

Happy Sunday yall 🫶🏽

Living by the beach, I’ve never really cared much for the desert landscape or wildlife. But since being out here a couple days, the amount of animals I have seen is insane. Pretty awesome by @whoisrowdy
