Ok, I might have a teeny tiny obsession with felting witches hats 😅 I make no secret that they’re my absolute favourite thing to make. Not just because I’ve always wanted a beautiful witches hat myself, but because, unquestionably, felting makes the PERFECT witch hats. It’s the only way to create that classic tall peak completely seamlessly for that authentic old world witch feel ✨ Handmade from luxurious New Zealand grown merino wool. Get in touch to purchase online or catch me at an upcoming market to try on your favourites or discuss your dream hat! #witchaesthetic #witcheshat #merinowool #handmade #wetfelting #halloweenready #littlechickfelting by @wickedfeltworks
Nosh Mantle 🐑 This gorgeous felted mantle is made from a whole heritage New Zealand Goatland shorn sheep fleece! Wool is added to the cut side of the fleece and gently felted into place to hold the fleece firmly together without felting those luscious curls! The result is a lovely and hefty “vegetarian sheepskin”. Not only does the sheep survive to produce more wool, but the drape and feel of the resulting garment is so much nicer than a skin! The beautiful soft curls are characteristic of this breed of sheep and the colour on this particular fleece is just divine! The variation from soft white to dark greys and warms browns is wild and ensures this fabulous piece will coordinate with any chosen outfit. I can absolutely see this as part of an amazing Viking or Barbarian look! So why’s it called the Nosh mantel? Because when you buy from small New Zealand farmers, they will tell you the name of the sheep a fleece is from 🐑 ☺️ This amazing (and heavy!) piece quickly found a home during Armageddon Auckland. Is this a one and done situation or should I be on the look out for another fabulous fleece? #feltedfleece #nzwool #handmade #wetfelting by @wickedfeltworks
This coven of witch hats found their new homes just in time for a very Wicked All Hallows’ Eve 🦇 Seamlessly hand felted from New Zealand merino wool, nothing gives classic witch or warlock vibes like a simple black peaked hat. The perfect sophisticated blank canvas, either embrace the classic black or simply slip the hat band off and you’re free to conjure any styling elements your black heart desires for a fresh look each spooky season. #witchhat #witchaesthetic #wetfelting #handmade #nzwool by @wickedfeltworks

Map & Look Book - Armageddon Spring 2026 A little peek at some of the gorgeous fantasy wear I’m bringing to Auckland Armageddon this weekend! Every single piece is laboriously hand felted by me (Jenna) in West Auckland from New Zealand wool. There’s only one of each item so once it’s gone, it’s gone! Track me down in Hall 1, A18 #armageddonexpo #comefindme #omgomgomg #yay by @wickedfeltworks
Dragon Scale Collar Summon your mounts dragon riders, it’s time to take to the skies looking fierce, yet snuggly warm, in a hand felted merino wool dragon collar! I’m slightly obsessed with how beautifully this sits on the body. A smaller scale than the caplets and mantles, the dragon collar rests entirely atop the shoulders with a low raised collar drawing your gaze centrally towards the face and fabulous chain clasp! A gradient of bright reds and oranges has been lightly over dyed in smoky charcoal for a subtle colour variation which hints at smoke and flame. A fabulous piece that can easily transform from a statement costume item, to a warm shoulder covering for your everyday garb Available this weekend at Armageddon expo Auckland! #dragonrider #wetfelting #fibreart #handmade #nzwool by @wickedfeltworks
Wizard Hats ✨ Calling all wizards, witches and warlocks! Surely those who master the magical arts deserve to adorn their brow with equally magical headwear? Subtle, sparkly or a dramatic silhouette, each hat is seamlessly hand felted from New Zealand wool for that truly authentic wizard feel. Whether immersed in a LARP, fantasy event, or around the D&D table, you’ll find the perfect hat adds just the right amount of extra magic to your adventure. #armageddonexpo #wetfelting #wizardhat #handmade #nzwool by @wickedfeltworks
Felted Ferns ✨ The magic of wet felting meets a little sprinkle of wearable whimsy in a collection of brooches and hair combs inspired by the New Zealand native bush. Hand felted from New Zealand merino wool and wisps of lustrous silk, with their lush green leaves and wee koru and ‘shrooms these little pieces of wearable fibre art look as if they could have been plucked right off the forest floor #firbeart #wearableart #wetfelting #kiwiana by @wickedfeltworks
Gandalf the Grey When I think of wizard hats, my mind often conjures the image of Gandalf riding his waggon into the shire, face cast in the shadow under the sweeping brim of his dramatic grey peaked hat. As far as Wizards hats go, this one’s as recognisable as it is absolutely iconic. Hand felted in New Zealand from gorgeous grey local merino wool, this hat is both completely seamless and deliciously soft to wear. Imagine donning this beauty on your next adventure through Hobbiton! If you’re in need of a “Real” wizards hat to elevate your garb or to bring your character to life around the D&D table, venture forth to Armageddon expo this weekend - booth A18 #armageddonexpo #handmade #wetfelting #lotr #nzwool by @wickedfeltworks

Fern Hat One of the few places I feel truly relaxed is under vast canopy of trees. Stepping into a wooded area feels like finally being able to breathe after a week of holding my breath, and it’s to places like this my mind often wanders while I felt. The very nature of transforming wool fibre into fabric is slow, physical and at times, repetitive. While my body’s working, my mind is free to explore the places and characters that inspire my designs. And maybe it’s my own attraction guiding me, or perhaps it’s because all the best stories and folk tales take place there, but a lot of these characters are journeying, ambling or resting under a canopy of lush green leaves. This fern hat is certainly born from those musings. The lovely long ferns and generous cluster of fungus looks like a little scene plucked right from the undergrowth of our native bush, undoubtedly why I keep revisiting and reworking this design. Possibly my favourite iteration yet, the flowing curled shape of the hat is in complete harmony with it’s decoration. This special piece will be available at Armageddon expo in just over a week’s time! by @wickedfeltworks
Kahukura Red Admiral Caplet Whimsy has the power to bring a spark of joy to the ordinary and mundane aspects of our lives. And if just a little sprinkle can spark joy, then logically draping the super soft wings of an oversized endemic butterfly around your shoulders can transform everyday drudgery into absolute magic! ✨ The Red Admiral caplet combines the subtle colour effect of glossy lustre fibres nestled amongst hand dyed brown wool, with the bold contrast between neutral tones and vibrant red. Hand felted from New Zealand merino wool, this unique piece of wearable kiwiana will look just as eye catching adorning fantasy garb as draped over everyday attire. Another incredible piece packed and ready for Armageddon next week! #wetfelting #nzwool #handmade #armageddonexpo #wickedfeltworks by @wickedfeltworks
