Big news!! - PAFA’s getting old.

This Sunday, June 21st, we’re celebrating PAFA’s incredible 220th birthday at the Family Arts Festival! 🎂🎨

Join us this Friday May 15 6:30pm-8:30pm at Location 215 for the Eraserhood Community Film Poster Exhibit — a night of art, film, remembrance, and immersive experience.

We’re honoring Artist in Residence @allymayarts , celebrating the creative pulse of @location215 , channeling the surreal film legacy of @pafacademy alum David Lynch through the visuals of @ashkimchoi , and celebrating the colorful lives of you and your neighbors.

This isn’t just an exhibit—it’s a living gallery:

📽️ Film Poster Workshop – Did you miss the workshop at the festival? Not to worry! See the posters created by your community at Eraserhood Fest beside your own! Create the poster for the movie of your life, guided by Location 215 + Ally May, and add your piece to the wall of a growing evolving gallery of shared stories. All art supplies provided!

🌀 Immerse yourself in the surreal Lynch-inspired video projections of local videographer Ash Choi! This isn’t just film; it’s a maze for your mind.

🕯️ “Candle in the Dark” Memorial Mural Experience – We will be lighting 100 candles in honor of prolific filmmaker and PAFA alum, David Lynch. Alongside this, community members are encouraged to contribute to the installation by writing a note to a lost loved one/lost idea/lost business/whatever they are grieving on a large mural and then light a candle in remembrance to add to the memorial. Anything you’re ready to hold, honor, or let go, this transformative art piece is for you.

Each ticket includes a complimentary drink & free light bites curated by @cerveauphilly ! Plus access to happy hour specials and specialty cocktails. The first 20 tickets are 2 for $30 so share a special evening with a friend!

An evening of art, reflection, and community—raw, expressive, and just a little strange.

Something damn fine is brewing in Eraserhood… 🍒🍸

🔮 Through our Artist Residency Program, Ally has helped shape the visual identity of this year’s festival—and now she’s bringing that same experimental, hands-on energy to the streets. We’re calling on all pups with a flair for the surreal to compete for the title of LYNCHIEST DOG IN THE WORLD at the Eraserhood Dog Show on May 1st, 2026 🐶✨

From dream logic to doppelgängers, we want to see dogs that feel like they stepped straight out of a David Lynch universe—mysterious, stylish, a little unsettling (in the best way).

🎭 Dogs will hit the runway in Lynch-inspired looks, serving eerie elegance, oddball energy, and unforgettable presence for a chance to win a curated doggie gift basket.
Our judges will be looking for:
• Costume Creativity — bold, bizarre, and original
• Lynchian Vibes — uncanny, offbeat, dreamlike
• Walk Performance — the strut, the stare, the moment
• Dog Personality — weird, wonderful, and full of character
