Thinking back to a few weeks ago when some weary travelers @williamstevenhall and @mikemckennajr dropped in to my house while on the road. They were going from NC to Cape Breton, and it had been a while since I had seen Mike. We had a lot of stories and life to catch up on.

We jammed some fiddle tunes, drank some whiskey, and had a nice night trading stories about trips to our ancestral home (Up Monaghan). I was out the door early in the AM.

By 8AM the next day, my day had taken an unexpected turn (more on that later maybe) and I wound up back at the house with a couple of amazing songwriters and nothing in particular to do. @williamstevenhall grabbed a guitar and played this one, and it hit me in the feels. It was like the reminder I needed that day.

Enjoy.

P.S. Should probably do more of this kind of thing, right? by @williamstevenhall

A dream to end such a beautiful time in Canada with a sold out show, surrounded by friends, in one of the most immaculately curated of venues that I’ve been privileged to be invited to. Thank you @carletonhalifax for setting the bar high. Thank you @mikemckennajr for the ride #sɪɴɢᴇʀsᴏɴɢᴡʀɪᴛᴇʀ #ncartist #indieartist #touringartist #novascotia by @williamstevenhall

Cambridge, MA tonight is the last show of my tour before returning to NC. I’ll be supporting @aswband at @lilypadinman , and getting all of my end-of-tour feels out. Come hang!

Reflecting on all of the great people and venues I’ve met on this journey. In such wild times, it feels more vital than ever to connect and share with strangers of different languages/regions/cultures on a human level. It’s been unreal, high speed, and completely dope, in the sense that my brain will probably dump hard at some point.
