POSTS STORIES REELS

We are thrilled to have our Willow Glen House and what it stands for featured in the current Upstate Diary Magazine.

Thank you to my husband @wernerhed, @willowglenhouseny, and the magical grounds with all the trees, rocks, and wild animals, and last but not least to our holy guardian cats watching over us. It was and still is a mutual labour of love. It weaves together everything we love—art, nature, beautiful Scandi/Austrian objects and furniture, culture, handcraft (incl. very much our own hands), and a huge portion of respect and gratitude for an ancient land that we, as Europeans, have the honour to live on and take care of. Feeling the spirit of the ancestors and natives. 🐎

This chapter of my life is a great teacher (working our asses off reality check). Whilst I know that life is a river, a continuous change and unfolding that is oblivious to any attempt to control, I deeply appreciate what it has shown me. 🪶

A dream came true when @chrismottalini took these amazing photos. He totally captured the essence.

Thanks @paultierneysees for the words.

And get the physical magazine (or better subscription) of this exquisite magazine that covers much more than Upstate. 👌🏻 @upstate_diary thanks to Kate.

This house has been bought pre-owned many years ago. Architect is William Massie.

Featured in issue 22: WELCOME TO WILLOW GLEN. A HOUSE REBORN. “The house doesn’t let you continue in the city pace of things There’s no TV. Winter means putting the fire on in the morning; summer means a dip in the stream. People see concrete and think hyper-modern, but it’s more like living in a cabin in the forest.” —Marcus Werner Hed.
