Hi, I’m Will! 👋

Excited to get started at Lifestyle Fitness, Cheshunt 💪

If you’re looking to take your training to the next level, come and say hello!

Let’s get to work 👊 by @willpaveleypt

My story. This is how I went from a skinny and unhealthy kid with zero confidence to serving in the Army, becoming a firefighter, and now, a qualified Personal Trainer. This is the journey that shaped me, and now I want to use that to help people push their limits and reach their potential.

Up until I was 15, I was the furthest thing from an athletic kid, I spent most of my time indoors doing nothing active. Finding the gym changed everything. I got hooked, built muscle, and suddenly people were noticing how different I looked.

That praise made me comfortable. Before I knew it, I was spending more time at festivals and nights out than actually taking care of myself. I maintained the look, but my real fitness went down the drain.

At 18, I applied for the Army thinking a decent physique was enough to pass. It wasn’t. I failed the fitness test. Strength was fine, but my cardio was completely off standard.

I learnt the hard way that looking fit didn’t mean you were fit.

After the test, I drifted into a dead-end job, working long hours for zero reward. Then COVID hit, I lost my job, and with that my motivation to do anything.
I’d had enough of going nowhere. It was time to make a real change. I started training smarter. I shifted my focus towards building a robust, resilient body for the Army. I changed my whole approach: lifting heavy, running far, and building real functional fitness. With one goal in mind. Reapply for the Army and get in.

I made it in. I joined the Army, and those four years became a massive cycle of wins and lessons learned while traveling the world and pushing my limits. This was where I built the true foundation of my fitness.
The biggest lesson came when I took on a company boxing bout. That was where I really learned how nutrition works in practice. It was no longer just theory, I had to actively manage how to fuel my body to perform under pressure, refuel to grow and recover, and cut down to hit my exact target weight without draining my performance.

After four years, I left the military and stepped into the Fire Service to start a new chapter in a career I can be truly proud of.
Through everything I’d been through, I realised that by @willpaveleypt

STOP PUTTING YOURSELF LAST

YOURSELF > WORK by @willpaveleypt

You vs You.

Focus on your own journey, your own progress, and becoming a better version of yourself. The only person you should be competing with is who you were yesterday. by @willpaveleypt

Thought I’d share this video that @maxy_runs edited a few months back, documenting our London to Brighton 100km Ultra Challenge earlier this year.

Months of meticulous training went into preparing for this, but nothing could prepare us for the extreme heat we faced on the day.

100km on foot, pushing through the highs, the lows and everything in between. One hell of a challenge, a massive learning experience and something I won’t forget anytime soon. 💪

The 3 pillars of progress.

😴 Sleep | 🥗 Nutrition | 🏋️ Training

These are the basics that everything else is built on. You don’t need to overcomplicate fitness or chase the latest trends. You need to get the fundamentals right and stay consistent with them.

Master the basics, stay consistent, and the results will follow.

Build the foundations. Trust the process. by @willpaveleypt

Importance of a Food Diary📔

A food diary isn’t about restricting yourself or counting every calorie.

It’s about awareness.

When you can actually see what you’re eating throughout the day, it becomes much easier to spot habits, make better choices and understand where you can improve.

Try tracking your food for a week — you might be surprised by what you notice. 👀 by @willpaveleypt

My Upper Day 💪

4 exercises to bulletproof your core 🛡️

1️⃣ Kneeling Woodchop — Rotation
Challenges your core to produce and control rotational movement.

2️⃣ Suitcase March — Anti-lateral flexion
Challenges your core to stay stable and upright while resisting the weight pulling you sideways.

3️⃣ Kneeling Ab Rollout — Anti-extension
Challenges your core to maintain a strong position while resisting your lower back arching.

4️⃣ Pallof Press — Anti-rotation
Challenges your core to resist rotation while you press the weight away from your body.

A well-rounded core should be able to move, resist movement and control movement.

Save this and give them a go 💪 by @willpaveleypt
