Forget Burgers, McDonald’s is a real estate empire disguised as a fast food company. McDonald’s sells burgers, but its business model tells a much bigger story. While customers see fast food, McDonald’s has built a powerful system around property ownership, franchise royalties and recurring rental income. It’s a masterclass in understanding the difference between selling a product and owning the infrastructure that makes the sale possible. Because sometimes, the real money isn’t in the product. It’s in the system behind it. by @winstonofwinston
Mind Blowing Numbers from Zara 🤯 Fashion may be the product, but ownership is where the real power lies. The world’s biggest fashion fortunes tell three very different stories: the economics of luxury, the power of mass-market retail, and the strategic value of diversification. While the brands compete for consumers, the billionaires behind them are playing an entirely different game. One that extends from the runway to some of the world’s most valuable real estate. Because building a successful brand is one thing. Building an empire is another. by @winstonofwinston
