In physics, they see time is not flow, past, present and future, the absolute time does not exist. We feel time because each event remains regrets and expectations. Numerous of memory, regret and anticipation shape relative timelines of each individual. Yet, when memories fade into timeless void, the reset, an unbroken string remains, like Icarus, and Micky. Holding on can tether us, but letting go sets us free to move forward, like Chrys and Icarus. I can find what its mean, love wins all, its timeless and universal lays on this play. Wherever, whenever, whichever world I land in, this story stays written on my heart. Now, go catch your flight. Safe travels, TROAM. by @with_ari
THE LIFE AND TIMES OF DAISY FORBES as part of Under the Radar at La Mama Experimental Theatre Club (Jan 14-17) A cautionary tale about what it feels like to be left behind as an artist in our world. The Life and Times of Daisy Forbes is a long-form lip-sync illustrating a show girl. And not just any showgirl, our last show girl. She is at a distinct crossroads in her life where she is being forced to make the decision of whether or not to continue pushing the rock up the hill as a performer and human being in this world. Via TV interviews, trashy pop, obscure musical theater scores and film scenes, Daisy channels these voices as a means of excavating the choices she has made, her feelings of abandonment and the uncertain future ahead. What Oppenheimer(2023) Does Not Show You. Maker’s Space / Social Disruptions Playwright: Katsuto Sakogashira Director: Matthew B. Cullen Dramaturg: Emily Zhou Scenic Design: Natalie Foo Costume Design: Risa Ando Lighting Design: Ari Kim Sound Design: Frankie Leroux Video Design : David Forsee Line Producer: Michiho Shimasaki Assistant Director: Tamaki Kadonishi Composer: S-Netchem Castro Dockery Akiko: Cat Woods Masayoshi: Koji Ono Ensemble/The Director: Jeff Parkinson Ensemble: Kei Sugue Photographer : Austin Patterson Big hit Oppenheimer(2023) actually did not show you this. How war’s tragedy happened in ordinary people. This production tells that story than hero. Actually I am doubt is he really hero? Little boy really save the world? Yea. Maybe. While it brought WWII to a sudden end, it did so by vaporizing mundane, peaceful lives and tearing apart beloved families in an instant. War is an ongoing tragedy; it was true in 1945, and it remains true today. There is no difference. by @with_ari
