POSTS STORIES REELS

I’ve been creating a series where I interpret the change of each season through a classical ballet, and to welcome autumn, I created a Don Quixote illustration. 🪭

This time, I wanted to explore a more layered concept, inspired by the style of medieval manuscript illustrations.

In the foreground, we witness Act I of the ballet, featuring the famous Kitri variation. In the background, we are transported to Act II but perhaps not quite as it appears on stage. Instead, it’s seen through the perspective of the book, or perhaps through the imagination of the spectator, as Don Quixote sets out in search of Kitri and Basilio and encounters the windmills along the way.

And if you look closely at the frame, you’ll find little props and details scattered throughout, each one representing a small part of the story. 🌹🎭

“Asha meets the star” 🌠

When I saw Disney’s anniversary movie Wish I immediately knew I wanted to recreate a piece of its whimsical watercolour style reminiscent of the early Disney classics.

Fanning the Flames 🎞️

🎬 Recently I got to work as a graphic and production designer on a short movie, which was created using an Extended Reality Stage (Virtual Production).
✍🏼 I was involved in building the set, styling the actors, making the poster and designing customised props such as newspapers, documents and letters.
📰 The movie was a detective mystery, set in 1950s New York.

🩰 Building the Bridge

For my university graduation I got to write, design and bring to publication a book, capturing the identity of the European School of Ballet through the voices of its community.

To bring this project to life, I conducted research with students, alumni, and faculty through surveys, workshops, and in-depth interviews. From these conversations, seven core values emerged and shaped the foundation of Building the Bridge.

Combining these insights with archival photography courtesy of Olivier Wecxsteen, Building the Bridge serves as both a communication tool and a lasting record of ESB’s culture, history, and legacy.

The first printed copies were released during ESB’s end-of-year performance, with proceeds supporting the school’s scholarship fund. 💫

Speedy sketches from Paris - streets, people, statues ⛲️
Part 1

When drawing I would always focus on detail and perfection, this time my goal was to enjoy the moment and the simple joy of creating. ✍🏼

During my first week in Paris I met a street artist by the river, painting the city with a cup of coffee and a brush. Inspired by his work I decided to turn Paris into my own canvas making speedy sketches capturing the soul of the city. ☕️

Iluminatra - character concepts and stage design 🧚🏼‍♀️

Meet: Caris, Liliana, Luminette, Queen Rosa, Bella and Danton - the Flories of Iluminatra 💐

Iluminatra is a project I originally started as a children’s manuscript book with its unique characters, worlds and storylines. 📚

For the purpose of another Art Direction project I decided to reimagine Iluminatra as a children’s ballet, dividing the story into 4 acts, creating their stage design and costumes all inspired by historical artists and designers. 🩰
