【🏔️ Flashback to the World Mountain & Trail Running Championships 2025】 Innovation Meets Endurance – Powered by 3M™ Thinsulate™ & 3M™ Scotchgard™ Fast back to the end of September — under the brilliant skies of Canfranc-Pirineos, Spain — where the world’s best trail runners gathered for the 2025 World Mountain and Trail Running Championships (WMTRC). This year, 3M™ brought science to the mountains, turning the championship into a live showcase of innovation and performance. At the 3M Experience Booth, athletes and visitors from over 70 nations explored how advanced material science can redefine outdoor endurance — from 3M™ Scotchgard™ Water Repellent technology keeping runners dry, to 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation delivering lightweight warmth without bulk. Every detail — from the technical arm sleeves in the race goodie bag to the finisher’s vest lined with Thinsulate™ and treated with Scotchgard™ — embodied 3M’s mission to help athletes perform at their peak, no matter the environment. Because behind every peak performance is a foundation of cutting-edge science. Science applied to sports. Science applied to outdoor. #3MThinsulate #3MScotchgard #NeverTooCold #WMTRC2025 #ScienceAppliedToLife #OutdoorPerformance by @wmtrc2027

🇬🇧 🌲 More than a trophy, a seed of history. 🌲 During the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships in CanfrancPirineos, we received a blue pine as a symbol of victory. But this tree represents so much more: it’s a tribute to the mountains, their history… and our commitment to them. Today, that trophy returns to the earth. 🌱 The 30 blue pines, one for each overall winner of the championship races, will be planted in a commemorative nursery created in honor of the WMTRC. A living space where this forest will grow as a symbol of what we achieved running in — and for — the mountains. This gesture brings back a century-old tradition: these same slopes were reforested to protect the International Station of Canfranc. Today, we carry that legacy forward. Each tree planted will tell a story — the story of this championship, and of those who left their mark on it.
🇬🇧Part of the team that made it possible🎥 They weren’t competing, but they covered every kilometer with the same intensity: camera runners, camera bikers, fixed camera operators, drone pilots… and of course, the commentators who gave voice to the excitement in English, French, and Spanish. 🌍🎙️ Thanks to their effort and coordination, the live broadcast of the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships reached thousands of people around the world — in three languages and in real time. 📺 In this image, you can see some of the professionals who made it happen: the technical team and the commentators who connected the world to the mountains. Thank you for showing what’s not always seen. For telling the story from the inside. This championship is yours too.
