Dimitri Wood @wood.dimitri photographs what we look at without really seeing: fleeting faces in the street, the entrails of a hospital, rough gestures on a trawler beaten by the Channel.
His eye seeks discreet tension and heavy silences. Black and white photography has naturally imposed itself: for its rough grain, its raw contrasts, its capacity to reveal the invisible.
His images are often dark, sometimes hard, always sincere. They speak of solitude, fatigue, and unvarnished beauty. They resemble him.
