Hello.

😊 by @wordswillremember

Surprise !

J’ai un nouveau chaton et évidemment comme pour mon autre chat Arwen son nom vient de la littérature !
Voici Mr Darcy et il est aussi charmant que son nom ❤️

Et vous ? Vous avez des animaux ? Comment s’appellent-ils ? 🐱 🐶…

I’ve got a new kitten and of course as my other cat Arwen his name comes from literature ! Here is Mr Darcy and he is as charming as his name can be ❤️

Mes indispensables de l’automne (pas pour y survivre c’est ma saison préférée 🍁 avec l’hiver)
Pour un automne cosy évidemment 🥰
On a des choses en commun ?

My autumn essentials (not that I need to survive it — it’s actually my favourite season, along with winter 🍁).

Mon dernier coup de cœur littéraire @benjaminlacombe @thefoxstoryteller et mon avis sous forme de poème, j’espère que ça vous plaira et surtout que ça vous donnera envie de le lire xx

A poem about my latest bookish crush.
It’s called the Big Leaf Workshop and I hope you’ll have it in English soon xx

Who would have thought that toys
Could be so many doors
Opening onto our memories?

We step into the Grand Feuille workshop,
Where children’s eyes light up
And older hearts recall
That sense of wonder,
Born from a stroke of a pencil
And words carefully chosen.
Drawings dress the walls of pages,
Toys take shape and come to life,
And imagination finds its place within us.

Walter, hard at work,
For the very first time,
No longer guiding his eyes
As he follows a model,
But guiding his hands
And building
The dream of a child growing up:
A music box.

The pieces fit together,
The mechanisms unfold,
And in the gestures that help him grow,
We recognise
Our own first times,
When we move forward alone,
Not knowing what our hands will create
Or where our feet will lead us.

At last, we turn the final page,
And we cannot help but hear that melody
Echoing in our ears,
Carrying us back
To those forests of memories
Whose keys belong to us alone.

A reader’s journal: running my first half marathon 🏃‍♀️📚

Those first few minutes. The energy waking up. The feeling of belonging among thousands of complete strangers. The sound of thousands of footsteps mixed with the voices of the supporters…

That’s main character energy, right?

And that’s what running taught me: we can go just as far as our favorite characters do, if we give ourselves the chance — and the courage — to believe we can.

I wanted to share this new chapter of my life with you, because being a reader doesn’t mean we have to stay within the pages. Reading can inspire us to become so much more.

Think about the characters you love. Have you ever read a story where the main character simply stayed still the whole time? Of course not.

They walk. They fall. They get back up. They fight. They speed up, slow down, change direction… and, somehow, they keep moving until they reach their finish line.

Like a distant dream,
the sound reaches me.
My feet echo on the asphalt,
blending with the footsteps of the other runners.
Voices singing to us,
sweat, noise,
kilometres strung together like pearls,
and the necklace of the finish line,
so deeply deserved.

To run is to be alive,
surrounded by humanity.

This race might only be the beginning for me. But it was also the push I needed to start writing again, to return to my writing projects, and most importantly, to get myself moving again.

This race gave me back the desire to write.

I hope you find that kind of turning point in your own life too — the one that reminds you to believe in yourself, to stop hiding your dreams behind other people’s expectations, and to give yourself permission to move forward, even when you don’t know exactly where you’re going yet.

Because, after all, we are the main characters of our own stories. ✨

@seinemarathon76 une ambiance de folie !!
