Work Should Not Hurt | Construction Ergonomics and Injury Prevention 💢
Pain is not part of the job.
Let's design pain out of our work.

POSTS STORIES REELS

🎬 Work Should Not Hurt is here to change the norm.

Our programme is all about making sure tradespeople can enjoy long, pain free careers — and retire when they choose to, not when forced to due to pain and injury.

This isn’t just another top-down safety talk — it’s a participative ergonomics programme. This means the people doing the work are actively involved in shaping how it’s done. Because real change happens when everyone’s part of the plan.

We might not be driving a Bluesmobile, but we are on a mission — and it’s one that puts workers’ health first.

This series is presented by our ergonomists Chris Polaczuk and Dr. Stephven Kolose A.K.A The Ergo Brothers.

Stay tuned for more! 👏👏👏

Our ergonomist Chris Polaczuk asks, “Where do you start your journey to prevent strains and sprains?”

📢 Attention managers and business owners in the construction industry.

Pain and injury is the leading cause of lost time in construction.

How well is your business doing at preventing and managing discomfort, pain and injury?

What do you need to do to get on top of it and prevent it?

Introducing our new and exciting tool called the 'Work Should Not Hurt Foundation Toolkit'! 🌠

This is a free online tool using a participatory ergonomics approach to guide you to create your own injury prevention programme in your workplace.

Combined with the Work Should Not Hurt programme our aim is to prolong construction workers careers and improve productivity with this tool.

Dr. Stephven Kolose says "We need you New Zealand, we need construction businesses, and we need tradies to help work with us on reducing the problem of pains and strains in our industry."

This isn’t just another top-down safety talk — it’s a participative ergonomics programme.

Chris Polaczuk says, "So if you've got any good ideas about how to prevent strains and sprains get in touch with us, we want to hear them!"

Just like The Blues Brothers, we’re on a mission — only this time, it’s all about protecting your body while getting the job done right.

This series is presented by our ergonomists Chris Polaczuk and Dr. Stephven Kolose A.K.A The Ergo Brothers.

Stay tuned — your back will thank you.
