Yin yang kaleidoscope ~ Stained glass, solder, jewelry, glass marble, brass key hole, mirror, black patina 2026. 🆗🆒 by @worldwidewizard.pov

Here’s another kaleidoscope that I made. The body is made up of an opaque yellow coating with mille fiore murrines added on top. I like how the body has a fluid shape to it and the marble contains a lots of details with mixed colors and swirls. I’ve been thinking about how to play with the senses by considering what it would feel to listen with your eyes or to see with your ears. When I look through a kaleidoscope it makes my eyes start to dance and my body to taste sounds lol 🎼👀🎶👂🎵👅 #introspectivethoughts #tastingmusic #dancewithme by @worldwidewizard.pov

“Zanfirico set with dish, wine glass, and marble”
🍷🔮🧫
Last week I finished my last class of Hot Glass 4: open projects @pghglasscenter, I learned so much from working with my instructors @zlayhew & @glass.percy. During my class I tried to focus on new techniques like pulling twisted cane, performing roll ups on collars, and sculpting marbles. + sum recent moments/ inspirations

DM me if ur interested in this set or individual works!! :) by @worldwidewizard.pov

“Eyeball simulator device”~ hot glass zanfirico cane body and marble with copper enamel cap. The kaleidoscope has been a reoccurring symbol in my work for the past few years. I really enjoy the tactile nature of holding one in my hand and the playful quality of being able to spin the filter. More so I appreciate its novelty qualities as it appears to be whimsical lens into a new way of seeing. In this piece I used a 4 sided (square) mirror system that reflects a pixelated display.
Historically the kaleidoscope was invented in 1816 by Scottish physicist Sir David Brewster while studying light polarization, Named from Greek words meaning “beautiful form viewer,” the device became an instant 19th-century sensation. It gained lots of popularity in London during the industrial age at a time when the population’s mood reflected the harsh working conditions and dull weather from factories polluting the air.
On a daily basis I sense that the state of world is heading in an extremely depressing place due to political corruption and war. I hope that looking into a kaleidoscope offers a sense of escapism into a world of peace, wonder, and awe. 🤔💭☮️✨💕#pyschdelicpunk #worldmentalhealthday #eyelashextensions by @worldwidewizard.pov

“Iconography of a six pointed star” -
Oil and spray paint on cut mdf board, mounted stained glass and mirror with copper patina finish, with multicolored push pins 📌☯️✌️😈🥲😎🤩😇

I really enjoyed making this piece, it gave me a lot of time to think about the themes involved in this work. I’m considering how to combine symbols of emotions, sounds, and religion with techniques of craft and technology. A really cool juxtaposition occurs when presenting old and new methods of making and reflecting on how we are constantly adapting to the times that we exist in.
I’ve been obsessed with studying the history of Millefiore due to its complex styles and technical display. There is something really satisfying and magical about looking at how the murrines start to distort once they fuse together, moving from a solid state to a liquid state. Furthermore I hope in the future to develop these motifs into actual pulled glass murrines that can be used in sculptural forms. Lastly framing this work into the shape of a star makes it feel like it’s radiating off the wall, I tried to push this idea by making it appear as a sculptural painting, and adding the stained glass ribbons mounted off the wall!! I like dis lol, Ah I love making art, so compelling!! by @worldwidewizard.pov
