Helping families live with greater curiosity, connection, and wonder. Sharing all my favorite places along the way. ✨

POSTS STORIES REELS

One of my favorite Mason quotes reminding me of what Good education truly is. Sinking our mind and heart into things worthy of our time here on earth….Willing ourselves to go deeper even when things feel lack luster or challenging.

The slow and generous learning that took place at the Cove this past school year is evidence of Mason’s philosophy in action. I could tell a thousand stories of the growth I saw, in both learning and the LOVE of learning. To witness students begging to recite their poem of the month just one more time and spontaneously clap at the ending of a Shakespeare story felt other worldly!

What an honor it is to build something for others that I believe so strongly in… to be able to share it with my community. To work alongside other parents who are seeking this sort of learning for their children is a gift from God.

I’m not sure if you’ve heard yet, but @rhythmchrch is hosting a Charlotte Mason inspired conference, August 14th (link in my bio)! It will be a beautiful day of connection, encouragement and learning. @jenniferpepito and @rachelstitchedtogether will be our keynote speakers- two moms who have been homeschooling for over 20 years, full of wisdom and encouragement! My good friend Ashley @wildandpreciouseducation and I will be leading a breakout session on how to foster a CM education in your home especially when you’re in a hybrid situation. We will be teaching her principles and diving into the foundation of her philosophy. We’re are so excited about this event! It’s going to be an incredible time of worship community and deepening our understanding of a living education. I really hope you can join us! by @wovenfable

Ahhhhh!!! What a day!! Beyond thankful for @rhythmchrch learning enrichment staff and our amazing Cove and MDO parents for putting together the most epic fall festival! What an absolute dream come true!! I’m still in awe over how much love and intention I saw poured out by this sweet community 😭. Forever grateful to be part of it. I praise God everyday for the opportunity to teach these sweet kids! I feel so blessed beyond measure that I get to share my passion for learning with them 🥹✨♥️

Lately, we’ve been studying seasonal changes, mushrooms and mycelium, place value and powers of 10, 3-digit addition and subtraction, George Washington and the thirteen colonies, vowel digraphs, consonant blends, fables and folktales and SO much more! God is so good… He truly knows the desires of our heart!!

Endlessly grateful for @rhythmchrch and everyone working behind the scenes to make this program possible!
@michelleclookie @kaynarr_ Thank you for all you do!!!

When I was little, my Mom would watch Anne of Green Gables with us on repeat. The beautiful teacher story woven throughout was what inspired me to become a teacher… I was mesmerized by Miss Stacey taking Anne and her class out into nature… it really sparked something in me (who knows the exact scene I’m talking about)!? Little did I know what God had in store!! 😭🥹✨

Grateful for @rhythmchrch making room for this program, @michelleclookie, @kaynarr_ , @tashinabee and all my amazing teacher friends who work tirelessly to make Cove what it is. Love you all! ♥️🧚🏼‍♀️✨

@carlsbadvillagebooks is a dream! Cutest toy section, beautiful books, and a delicious coffee shop that serves my favorite chai! Check them out next time you’re in town! by @wovenfable

The day started off with a full family sprint to the train with only seconds to spare and it was of course one of the hottest days this summer…but we had a blast! Might have lost a kid for a couple mins at the end but we survived the @sandiegocountyfair and core memories were made!! #everythinghallelujah by @wovenfable

@hooray4thelaras and I took the kids to @cabrillonps today on a whim and it was magical! Time felt like it slowed down to sail speed as we explored what felt like every single nook and cranny of the park 😆. by @wovenfable

Car trouble didn’t stop us from having the time of our lives! @yosemitenps never disappoints! We had the best time with the best people by @wovenfable

Day one of our Cove Summer Camp was a hit!! Our first day was all about interesting creatures. Bible lesson, creature crafts, read alouds, relay races, directive drawings and more! Thankful to @rhythmchrch for opening space for us to explore the wonders of God! by @wovenfable
