My birthday hasn’t been the same since 2024, and I doubt it ever will be.

I can’t say it gets easier, either. Grief comes and goes. It ebbs and flows. Some days it’s quieter; other days, it finds its way into moments you wish you could simply enjoy.

I’m learning that grief is a part of being human. That celebrating life doesn’t mean you stop missing the people who are no longer here to celebrate with you.

So, as I edge closer to another year of life, I’m making room for both. The joy of being here and the ache of who isn’t.

And while I celebrate, I also want to hold space for those who find birthdays, milestones and celebrations a little harder to navigate.

Because not every birthday feels like a celebration. And that’s okay, too.

Babes, if there’s one thing you should be doing aggressively right now, it’s expanding your mind. Become disgustingly educated.

I mean formally or informally. Read for leisure. Read to learn. Explore new ideas. Ask questions. Be curious about everything.

Watch your thinking, creativity, imagination and knowledge increase x10.

Because the more you know, the better you can apply what you know. And the better you apply it, the more valuable your experience and expertise become.

And when you can turn knowledge into practical value? An increase in income is bound to follow.

So please, make reading a habit. Invest in your mind. Become the kind of person who can think critically, create boldly and execute brilliantly.

Documenting the journey to becoming the region’s best visual storyteller and content strategist. Confident much? Well, yes. 😆

The audacity is free. The work? Very much in progress.

Welcome to the life of a pre-rich millionaire. 💅🏽

“But Z, you’ve been working out for about 15 years.”

And you’re absolutely right 😂

But the results I have now required me to kill the version of myself that existed before. I’ve started over countless times. My goals and mindset have changed, but once I figured out the formula? BABY, it was OVER for the old me😮‍💨🔥

I no longer rely on feelings or willpower. I’ve built habits and systems that keep me going, and I’ve learned not to beat myself up when I genuinely can’t show up the way I planned. I just get back to it.

And this goes way beyond fitness.

If you really want something, you have to put in the work for it. Whether it’s your health, business, faith or the life you want to build, you can’t just wish for it. You have to show up, even when you don’t feel like it.

Less waiting to feel ready. More showing up and doing the work. That’s how I’m moving going forward. 💪🏽✨

Them: Christians don’t have style
Me: Anyways….

I hope you got cute and went to church 😌
Also, burgundy and pink is such a cute colour combo.

A few months ago I hopped on the smallest plane I’ve ever been on and went to Cuba.

#travel

I ended speaking the most Spanish I’ve ever spoken in years. So much so I. And back to Jamaica responding to everyone in Spanish even though they were speaking English.

I stayed in a 5 star hotel…

But in the last days there I had no light whatsoever and the water came out dirty 😭

No light forced me to figure out how to open the window 😅. At first I thought it couldn’t be opened.

Views from my window…

And more views from window 😅

I braced myself to be utterly disappointed by the food based on reviews from others. I can’t lie, I was never disappointed. No complaints at all.

In the streets …..
We were out everyday

The one flower among them all 🤭

And yes - there is life is Jesus

Just a sucker for art 🤭

The sucker admiring the art 😅

One of the inspirations that got me back playing the piano

And if you’ve made it this far, both part 1 and 2 of my Cuba experience are now up ☺️

Ebbs and flow- The natural cyclical pattern of an increase and decrease, or a rise and fall over time.

That is life and more often than not you’ll be enjoying it until a wave comes crashing the party.

But in all this I hope you still choose to live life even when the waves knock the breath out of you. After all it’s a natural part of life ✨

A successful livestream is more than pressing “GO LIVE.” 🎥

It takes preparation, technical checks, camera coordination, and a team ready to handle the unexpected.

At HOX Studios, we sweat the details behind the scenes so you can focus on what matters most: your event.

Conferences, funerals, weddings; we help bring every important moment online. 🎬

📩 DM @houseofxaymaca to book your next livestream.

Some of us are one more “are you sure you can do that?” away from entering our villain era. 😭😂🚪

Ladies, let them underestimate you in peace. The results will speak for themselves. 💅🏽✨

We don’t take your memories lightly.

For every service, there is preparation because we understand that some moments can never be recreated.

Especially when it comes to funeral livestreaming, we know that we’re not just setting up cameras. We’re helping families stay connected when they can’t be there in person and preserving moments they can return to long after the service has ended.

Every detail matters. Every moment matters. And the responsibility of capturing them is one we don’t take lightly. Something I don’t take lightly.
