CHASING THE CLOCK ⏱️

Day 1 at Gold Rush Hill Sprints is done and dusted! Every run was about learning the track, building confidence and seeing what both the car and I had in us. By the second run we managed to crack a 1:56, and there’s still plenty left to find.

Massive thanks to the crew at @akracing_ak for the hard work and support all weekend. The car’s feeling strong, and I’m pumped to come back tomorrow, push even harder, and chase an even quicker time. Let’s get it! 💪🏁

IT’S BEEN A MINUTE ⏰

The EVO X has been getting plenty of attention at AK Racing over the last few weeks, with a stack of performance upgrades and fine-tuning to make sure it’s ready for the next round of events.

Every session in the workshop is about finding more performance, more consistency, and getting the modifications dialled in.

This weekend we’re heading to Gold Rush Hill Sprints in Central Queensland, then it’s straight into King of QR next weekend. Looking forward to putting the work to the test, catching up with everyone trackside, and chasing some strong laps.

🚛📦WHEN EVERYTHING STACKS UP AT ONCE 🔧🏁

Boxes everywhere. New walls, new routine, new energy. Moving house isn’t just logistics—it’s a reset. A chance to give my daughter a different environment, something better, something that sets the tone for what’s next. That alone makes the chaos worth it.

But it never comes alone, does it?

Right in the middle of it—car problems. Clutch starts slipping, parts impossible to track down, delays, dead ends. The kind of stuff that tests how bad you actually want it. Late nights chasing solutions, second guessing setups… until finally locking in a twin plate Exedy setup. Not the easy route, but the right one.

Then a win.

A proper one.

A fresh set of Yokohama A052s finally lands for the Evo. Grip. Intent. No compromises. The kind of tyre that changes the whole conversation the moment you roll out.

And just like that—back where it all makes sense.

Back at @qldraceway. Back racing @timeattack_qld. Helmet on, engine noise up, everything dialled in. All the stress, the moving, the setbacks—it funnels into one moment on track.

That’s the thing people don’t see.

It’s never just about driving. It’s about pushing through when it would’ve been easier to park it. It’s about building something—on and off the track—that actually means something.

New home. New chapter. Same hunger.
