The Weeknd's "Niagara Falls" is a track from the album *Hurry Up Tomorrow*

The song features a dreamy R&B sound with soft synths and a nostalgic, reflective atmosphere. The lyrics largely revolve around looking back on a past romantic relationship. The narrator recalls a person and a time in his life when he did not dare to fully let love in. The song expresses both regret over mistakes and a wish that things had been done differently

The title "Niagara Falls" serves as a symbol for the memories and emotions that keep pouring out, while also linking the location to a past period in his life

Musically, the song blends classic R&B with modern electronic elements and incorporates a sample of "Someone to Love" by Jon B. and Babyface, enhancing the romantic and nostalgic feel

"Pray for Me" is a song by The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar from the *Black Panther* soundtrack. Released in 2018, the track blends dark R&B with rap

Thematically, the song deals with:
* Bearing a heavy burden and feeling the pressure to protect others
* Fear, loneliness, and doubt, while striving to keep fighting
* The question of who supports the hero when the hero themselves needs help

The Weeknd’s chorus expresses a longing for support and salvation, while Kendrick Lamar’s verse addresses sacrifice and courage from a hero's perspective. This makes the song a fitting match for *Black Panther*, a story in which the protagonist faces difficult choices and immense responsibility

The lyrics can also be interpreted more broadly; many view the song as a depiction of how people struggle with their own inner conflicts while those around them expect them to be strong. It thus speaks to both superheroes and ordinary people as they grapple with responsibility, loneliness, and hope🙏🏻

"Impress You" is an unreleased song. It dates back to the early period of his musical career, when he was developing his dark, atmospheric R&B sound. The track appears in fan-compiled collections of his unreleased material.
Interestingly, the song is linked to the "Kiss Land*"period—an era often associated with:
* Dark and sensual R&B
* Dreamy synths and atmospheric production.
* Abel’s signature falsetto vocals
* Themes of desire, relationships, and emotional distance
One notable detail:
The song sometimes appears under the title "Impress You (Dirty South)"

"Yesterday" is a demo from the "Kiss Land" era—dating back to around 2013. It leaked online on November 2, 2023, and, according to fan sites that catalog his unreleased music, it runs for approximately 4 minutes and 20 seconds.

"Yesterday" feels like a look back at something that has been lost. It is the kind of music where the atmosphere and soundscape are at least as important as the vocals themselves. It fits into the darker, more experimental side of The Weeknd—a style characteristic of his early period, encompassing "House of Balloons", "Thursday", and "Kiss Land"

The live performance of "Cry For Me" with The Weeknd is dark, dramatic, and emotional—yet incredibly powerful. It is an experience where heartbreak meets a grand, almost cinematic stage production.
"Cry For Me" explores themes of heartbreak, regret, and the longing to still matter to someone you have lost. There is also a bitter undercurrent—the experience of suffering oneself, coupled with a desire to know if the other person is suffering just as much.
In this live version, the emotions are amplified, as the grand stage production stands in stark contrast to the song’s vulnerable message.

“Birthday Suit” is an early, track from his "The Noise" era, dating back to around 2009. Consequently, it lacks the polished sound of his later albums, offering a rawer and more direct feel instead
The vibe of the song:
It is flirtatious, confident, and rather vulgar, rather than romantic. What makes it interesting is that it reveals a very early version of The Weeknd’s persona: sex, money, nightlife, and a somewhat decadent attitude. Themes of this kind would later become significantly more complex in works like "House of Balloons."

“Adaptation” is a dark, atmospheric, and emotionally complex song from the 2013 album Kiss Land . At its core, it explores how a person is transformed by love, desire, fame, and a lifestyle that gradually causes them to lose touch with who they once were.
The song carries a melancholic, dreamlike, and almost cinematic quality. The production constructs a dark sonic landscape, featuring ethereal synths, deep bass, and slow, evocative rhythms. The Weeknd’s vocals sound both vulnerable and detached—as if he is recounting something painful that he has already come to accept. A sense of loneliness permeates the entire track—not necessarily the loneliness of missing someone, but the loneliness of having become a person one barely recognizes.

In short: “Adaptation” deals with the price of fleeing from vulnerability. One can grow accustomed to a life devoid of love, filling the void with attention and fleeting pleasures, eventually labeling it “freedom.” Yet, having adapted does not necessarily mean having healed. This is what makes the song so profoundly human: sometimes, you don’t just miss another person—you also miss the person you were when that individual was still a part of your life.
