Flying from Auckland to Aotea Great Barrier Island feels like you've taken a wrong turn and you're flying straight into heaven.

A bigger transition in just 30 minutes seems barely possible. From the hustle and bustle of the city, to the silence of this island paradise is a scenic flight.

Small planes ensure that you'll have a window seat. Flights leave from the domestic terminal at Auckland International Airport or Auckland's North Shore.

We can book these flights for you if you book a package with us. There's a link to our website in the bio. 🤩

Great sunset views to the west from XSPOT Cliff house. It's were it often happens when it comes to astronomical events. Like this planetary conjunction.

With an elevation of around 100m, the views over the Hauraki Gulf are extraordinary.

Notw that private stargazing tours by Good Heavens Dark Sky Experiences are also a great option. by @xspotnz

A conjunction happens when two celestial bodies, in this case Venus, the brighter one, and Jupiter, appear to pass close to one another in the sky.

It's just a visual alignment for us here on Earth. Despite looking close, the two planets are actually hundreds of millions of kilometers apart in their respective orbits around our Sun. 🌞
