Echoes of the Inner Lineage: Online Solo Exhibition!!

I am honored to present my work amongst those who see the significance of its existence—and for the many who care to be witnesses of its evolution and success.

Thank you to @barbagelatafoundation for this amazing opportunity! I am super excited for what’s to come.

🌀 Echoes of the Inner Lineage
🎨 Solo Online Exhibition by Madison Hines (XWIZDUMBX) @xwizdumbx

📅 Opening: 27 Feb 2026
🕊️ On permanent view
🏛️ Hosted by: Barbagelata Contemporary Art Foundation (BCAF)

BCAF is honored to present “Echoes of the Inner Lineage” 💫—a powerful solo online exhibition by Houston-born contemporary artist Madison Hines, widely known as XWIZDUMBX. 💙🎨

This immersive series weaves together identity, self-awareness, spiritual memory, and ancestral connection, brought to life through vibrant color, intuitive mark-making, and bold mixed-media experimentation. 💭🌊

Rooted in healing and deep introspection, the works trace Hines’ dialogue with her present self, her inner child, and the ancestral echoes shaping her creative world. Each piece becomes a tactile portal—where intuition meets memory, and where the unseen becomes profoundly felt. 💙🔥

💎 A Practice of Healing & Remembering
Through meditative visions and spiritual downloads, Hines builds layered compositions that honor innocence, power, vulnerability, and truth. The series invites viewers to reconnect with forgotten parts of themselves and embrace the wisdom carried within.

🌐 A Creative Voice & Community Builder
Beyond her art, Hines uplifts underrepresented voices through mentorship, youth programs, workshops, and digital communities—empowering emerging artists to rise with authenticity and courage. 💙🤝

Her work has been featured internationally and in major publications, and she continues to serve as a guiding voice in conversations around creative resilience and identity-driven art.

💫 Echoes That Transform
This exhibition captures years of emotional exploration—an offering of vulnerability, intention, and spiritual inheritance. A reminder that healing is remembering, and art is the language our forgotten selves use to speak. 💙🌌

Ending the year with article number 6!! 📝

Special thank you to Canvas Rebel for reaching out and for another opportunity to share my story.

This article I dive deep on my journey as a creative. From how I got started to overcoming the pressures of society, releasing emotional burdens and the importance of listening to my inner child’s guidance. I express how I built systems to sustain my relationship with my art and my business, and how the world can move from passive art consumption to active support for artists.

Real support isn’t just watching and scrolling. It’s reading our stories, investing in our visions, and sharing our work with intention.

If you’d like to read the full conversation, you can find it on Canvas Rebel’s website under “Stories & Insights” or via the link on my website under “Publications.”

I appreciate all your continued support. If you know someone who needs to hear this or you resonate with my story, please share it forward.

With love and gratitude,

The Artist Workshop Recap: “You Have Authority”

You have authority over your routine, your studio practice, and the life you wish to live and build for yourself.

However, having this freedom doesn’t mean anything without taking action.

You have to sit down and write the terms and conditions and decide what you want your days to look like. Take initiative. Be disciplined. And commit to showing up for yourself.

If you’re seeking financial freedom through your art practice, it starts with setting a foundation. One that works for you!

Once you start implementing those habits, take notes. Track your growth and notice how you’re blossoming differently. Notice how you show up in your practice now compared to before.

You have the authority, so use it! ✨🤎🎨

The Artist Workshop Recap: “You’re Stretching Yourself Too Thin” 🤎

Many of us fall into the rabbit hole of wanting to do everything, but having the energy to do nothing at all. I completely get it because the tension is real! Eespecially when you’re passionate about so many things.

In this snippet, I share how to get realistic about what’s truly calling you in this creative season.

Step 1: Make a list of all the ideas or projects you wish to explore, experiment with or create.
Step 2: Make a second list of all the projects and ideas you actually have the time and energy for in this current season.
Step 3: Decide how you wish to take action on one of those projects or ideas that interests you the most.

This is does not mean you are putting your projects on hold, or you are not doing enough, it just means you are storing your creative assets in a vault for later. Eventually you’ll have the proper time and energy to build with them.

This simple exercise can help you get concrete about your goals while providing you with clarity on what projects and ideas to focus on.

You don’t have to do everything all at once. You just have to do what interests you the most right now.
