I went to the Ohel to ask not to be abandoned, and I left having spent my strongest prayer on someone else.

I have spent a year saying that worth is settled and inherent, that it was never in question. I want to be honest that I teach it because I struggle with it, not because I have finished with it. Standing there I did not feel any of it.

The Tanya draws a line between the sadness that flattens a person and the brokenness that opens them. I have not always been able to tell them apart. Today I could.

Thank you Estee.

“Sorry, this might be a stupid question.”

Psychology traced this pattern to early life decades ago. Neuroscience shows the brain can change with practice. What no one has tested is whether the place a woman sources her worth can change too. That is the question my research is asking.

Count your sentences, comment your number, then take the Worth Index. Link in bio. Inspired by @drsusankahn whose work on resilience shaped my thinking.

Do you believe the way you source your worth can change? by @yaelsimonllm

Think about the person who changed your life.

Maybe it was a teacher who believed in you, a boss who took a chance on you, or someone who introduced you to the right person at the right time. There’s a good chance they have no idea what they did for you, and that they’ve had days of feeling behind too.

The Baal Shem Tov taught that a soul can come down to this world for seventy or eighty years just to do one favour for someone else. None of us knows which moment that was.

So who dropped a stone in your water? Have you told them?

Thank you, Laurence.

Green. Amber. Red.

Every organisation’s red list looks a little different. A medical charity will have far more on it than a theatre company, and a foundation funding sensitive work will have items nobody else would think of.

Writing yours down is one of the most useful hours a team can spend on AI.

What’s on your red list that wouldn’t be on anyone else’s? Tell me below.

Save this for your next team meeting. Booking link in bio.

Sha’ar HaBitachon defines bitachon as menuchas hanefesh, the rest of the soul of the one who trusts. The way I read it, that’s a rest you can find even while you’re still afraid, and holding on while you’re scared is what makes it bitachon and not just reassurance.

And the promise we’re given again and again:
לֹא יַרְפְּךָ וְלֹא יַעַזְבֶךָּ
He will not fail you and He will not forsake you (Devarim 31:6).

I’d love to read your stories in the comments, whether you found it in scarcity or in abundance.

Saving time is the easy part. The decision that matters is what your team does with the hours.

My hope for the charities and foundations I work with is more time with donors, partners and the people the work is for, and less time on first drafts.

If AI gave your team one afternoon back each week, what would you spend it on? I’d love to read your answers below.

In 2023, Samsung engineers pasted source code into ChatGPT, and the company’s answer was to ban it. I would do the opposite. A ban rarely stops people using AI; it just stops them telling you.

The organisations getting this right choose one tool and one account, then say yes to far more.

Where does your organisation stand right now: banned, approved, or nobody has said? Tell me in the comments.

Most teams are already using AI. Most boards haven’t talked about it yet.

That gap is where both the opportunity and the risk sit, and it’s what this series is about.

Over the next three weeks: six short episodes of practical, free advice for anyone who leads a team, a charity, a foundation or a business. No jargon, no fear. Just what works.

So, honest question: where are you right now?

🟢 Using AI every day
🟡 Trying it out
🔴 Haven’t started

Drop your colour below and I’ll make sure the series answers your questions.

Want help sooner? I train teams and brief boards on AI policy and strategy, or book an hour on your own workflow. Link in bio.

Wow. They still exist and they are still biting at our ankles: THE MEAN GIRLS.

Go listen to @gabrielahersham - and she is right; we don’t know what people are going through. People won’t like you. Deal with it. Usually, ITS NOT ABOUT YOU.

But the feeling is real and the question is valid, but the way you process the answer and you metabolise and choose to respond is what the growth and leadership in your life looks like.

Women - let’s do better.
