POSTS STORIES REELS

Ellen Tamaki. @etamaki

Some of the best stories begin with a stranger who catches your eye.

Along the Savannah River, I noticed Ellen sitting quietly with binoculars in hand, watching the birds. Something about the moment compelled me to take a photograph.

I introduced myself, asked to take her portrait, and we ended up having a delightful conversation. She was visiting Savannah for an audition, and we discovered a shared connection to Brooklyn, where she lives and I’m originally from.

A chance encounter, a shared connection, and a lovely conversation.

Sometimes the most interesting people are the ones you notice before you know who they are.

Billie Piper.

From pop sensation to acclaimed actress, a career defined by reinvention, fearlessness, and an unmistakable presence.

A magnetic presence, undeniable charm, and a well-deserved moment beneath her own name in lights.

Photographed at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, where Billie was honored with the Marquee Award.

Emmy Rossum.

A familiar face. A thousand expressions. And a few fleeting moments between the lights, the cameras, and the crowd.

Sometimes the most compelling moments are the ones nobody planned.

Some days, life just hits all the right notes. 🎶

Today, those notes led me to Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia, where I had the unexpected honor of photographing the legendary @ryanseacrest

A man who has spent decades introducing the world to extraordinary talent was gracious enough to stop for a few portraits of his own.

And with the 25th anniversary season of @americanidol approaching, I can’t help but wonder…

Ryan, was this the universe telling me it’s finally time to audition? 🎤 🤔

The blessings keep stacking up, and my gratitude keeps growing.

Thank you, Ryan, for the smiles, the kindness, and a moment I won’t soon forget. The best is yet to come!

Brett Bigelow. The man behind @savannahmadesimple . A familiar face with a knack for telling this great city’s stories.

I’ll let Brett decide whether the marquee is a coincidence. 😎

JANUSZ. Coney Island, Brooklyn. October 2026.

Most men spend their lives running from death. Janusz knows it’s walking beside him.

Every week, another needle. Another vial of blood. Another reminder that the next heartbeat is a privilege, not a promise.

And yet, he laughs.

Because perhaps the cruelest thing about death isn’t that it comes for us all. It’s that some men have to stare it in the face before they finally understand what it means to be alive.

The tragedy isn’t dying. It’s reaching the end and realizing you never really lived.

A firefighter’s greatest act is not walking into the fire. It is making sure someone else walks out.
Thank you Savannah Firefighter Kaiwan Purveyor and every Savannah Firefighter that risks their life to protect ours. 🫡
