Just another usual morning... having breakfast with my usual partner. But today’s project feels a little special. After 10 years in this field, this is actually the first time I’m documenting one of my own cover projects. @my.favorite_pastime requested a custom TN cover to match the unique patches she got from @kolourcafe , a UK-based brand. I suggested that her cover should also carry a “Patchwork” theme — to give it an artistic touch and keep everything cohesive with her concept. Thank you, Faii, for the trust you’ve placed in me. by @yardleathersmith
Hey everyone! After over a month of going quiet, I’m finally back — ready to serve with full heart and energy again! First of all, I want to say sorry for all the delays since April. That’s when I started moving into a new house and setting up my new workspace — and honestly, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. Some renovation and restock plans didn’t go as smoothly as I’d hoped, and it left me feeling super stressed and honestly, a little embarrassed to face my customers. But Alhamdulillah, things are slowly falling back into place. I’ve managed to complete and ship out most of the pending orders. I’m really grateful that many of you have been so patient, calm, and understanding despite the delays — it means a lot to me. And to those who reached out because you noticed I’d gone quiet — thank you for your care and kind messages. It truly kept me going. I promise not to give up — and I’ll keep pushing forward to grow and do better. Thank you all for your prayers, support, and just for being here. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. by @yardleathersmith

You don’t just buy a cover. You grow old with it. . Why do people love vegetable-tanned leather even though it worn out so easily? Actually, many people love veg-tan leather not because it stays looking new forever, but because they love the way it changes over time. In the leathercraft world, some people are willing to buy leather that scratches easily and changes colour because that’s exactly what makes it special. It’s all about the patina. ❤️ As time goes by, the leather develops its own character. The colour gets darker, the surface becomes shinier, and every piece ages differently depending on how the owner uses it. For veg-tan lovers, scratches and colour changes are not necessarily defects. They’re part of the story. It’s pretty much the same thing with selvedge denim. Some people love seeing their jeans fade and develop unique marks after years of wearing them. Both have something in common: the more you use them, the more character they develop. But of course, not everyone likes that. Some people prefer their covers to look clean and new all the time. They don’t like scratches, stains or colour changes. And that’s totally fine. Personally, I think veg-tan leather isn’t just about the material itself. It’s about the experience of owning something that slowly becomes unique to you. by @yardleathersmith

Do you think the rates are fair and reasonable for you? Thank you so much for continuing to support me. I’ll always try to find the best possible way forward for all of us. In the past, I’ve even had to cover part of the shipping and duty costs out of my own pocket. But honestly, I don’t think I’m ready to give up creating and making things for all of you just yet. The world is getting crazier and more challenging every day. I hope we can all adapt to these changes soon, keep moving forward, and continue doing what we’re passionate about every single day. Many small businesses have already shut down, and many sellers have stopped shipping to the USA. But I’m still not ready to do the same. This is not just my passion — it’s also how I support my family and provide for their future. May you all always be blessed, stay healthy, and be protected wherever life takes you. Take care, everyone, and thank you so much for everything. With gratitude, — ZACK — by @yardleathersmith
