“Sound & Colors” is a playful and interactive concert where music and colors come to life.
With flutes, clarinet, voice, pandeiro, and visual art, Angelo Ursini and Yasmim Flores invite children into a world of sounds, images, and stories.

Inspired by Brazilian and Andean rhythms, familiar children’s songs turn into musical games full of surprises. Kids are invited to clap, listen, imagine, and play along, celebrating creativity, rhythm, and cultural diversity.

Nunca será completo, entre lá e cá. by @yasmimflores

Reviewing some of this year’s work and adventures. I’m working on editing the video of the performance I did with @chieko.cello at the closing of the @women_house_casa_de_mulheres exhibition at @ndsmfuse in Amsterdam. It was the second time we performed together. The first was at the Dearest Y. exhibition at Garage Rotterdam in 2022, which addressed sisterhood end sorority among women. Continuing with this concept, I invited her to collaborate on this new work, which we composed from testimonies collected from women about motherhood in the context of immigration. I hope to present this video to you soon. by @yasmimflores

I’m a visual artist and performer but In the last 5 years I have dedicated myself more to music, ever since I started working at the @choroschool , teaching art, music and Brazilian culture to children and families in Rotterdam. My instrument is the pandeiro and my matula full of colors.

I am daughter of musicians and I grew up playing backstage, at rehearsals, watching my uncle Bill preparing the costumes for the shows. (This is my biggest artistic influence )

In 2024 was born the @tropischetulpen , a kids band project with the wonderful musicians Beth Fadel and Floor Polder. This photo was from our photo shooting done by the dear @stephanieblonkphoto at my atelier @thesun.rdam .

Outfits sewn by my sister @jadde_flores from a fabric I got after a workshop at @parquinholage in 2017 . the papier-mâché mask i did i to wear at last year’s carnival in Rotterdam.

Many details that this image represents and more….

The nexts concerts will be officially directed by the wonderful Claudia Maioli from @teatromunganga and promises new partnerships for stage props and costumes too! ❤️‍🔥

Upcoming events:

03/16 - Choro Festival Rotterdam
04/20 - Munganga Theater Amsterdam
31/05 - Semana Mundial do Brincar - Het Park Rotterdam
15/06 - Kids Jazz Festival - Amersfoort by @yasmimflores

The desire to occupy the space. In this new perspective, little by little, to what was once complete… The sacred time of the Atelier. The valuable time that a mother of small children has for herself. To create, to work or to do nothing, just to keep coexisting in this internal space.
