Four kids. One college campus. One mission. ❤️
Today, my family and I headed to FIU college campus with a simple purpose: to meet Jewish students and remind them that they are seen, supported, and not alone.

Bringing our four kids along made the experience even more meaningful. We wanted them to see what it means to show up for your community, to stand proudly in your Jewish identity, and to make someone else feel a little less alone.

We didn’t know who we would meet or what conversations would come from the day—but sometimes, showing up is the most important thing you can do.

We’re raising our kids to never be afraid to stand up, speak up, and show up. ✡️❤️#jewish #jewishmiami #jewishcollegestudent #israel by @yehudisoflo

These pictures only tell half the story. 🤍

The tables before Shabbat. The dishes after. The chairs pulled up for one more person. The late nights, the laughter, the singing, and the conversations that stay with us long after everyone leaves.

This past month, we welcomed around 100 Jewish students into our home for Shabbat meals.

And I keep thinking about how much more this is than just a meal.

Because somewhere around our table, someone is finding a friend. Someone is feeling a little less alone. Someone is experiencing the beauty of Shabbat for the very first time. And someone is realizing that being Jewish means being part of something so much bigger than themselves.

We may never know which conversation, which song, or which Shabbat dinner will stay with someone forever.

But if even one student walks out our door feeling more connected, more loved, and more proud to be Jewish, every bit of preparation is worth it.

**This is why we open our home. This is why we do what we do.**

And if you’ve been thinking about joining us for Shabbat but haven’t yet, consider this your invitation. You don’t need to know anyone, know what to do, or have it all figured out.

Just come as you are. We’ll save you a seat. 🤍✡️ #jewish #jew #shabbat by @yehudisoflo

Sometimes I look around the room during a Torah class and think… what a privilege this is. 🥹

To sit with young Jewish women who are asking questions, searching for meaning, and discovering just how much their Judaism has to offer them.

Because it’s never just about teaching Torah.

It’s about creating a space where someone feels comfortable asking a question they’ve held onto for years. Where they discover that Judaism isn’t just something they inherited — it’s something that belongs to them.

And the most beautiful part?

You never know which conversation, which question, or which little piece of Torah might change the direction of someone’s life.

If even one student walks away feeling a little more connected to Hashem, a little more proud to be Jewish, and a little more aware of how much their soul matters…

Then every minute is worth it. ❤️

This is why we do what we do. ✨#jewish #jewishmiami #jewishcollegestudent #israel #jews by @yehudisoflo

I didn’t grow up keeping Shabbat.

But somewhere along the way, I discovered just how beautiful it is to be Jewish. And it changed my life.

Now, one of the greatest privileges of my life is getting to open our front door and share that beauty with others. ❤️

Every Friday night, Jewish students walk into our home. Some have experienced Shabbat their whole lives. For others, it’s their very first time.

And every time we welcome someone in, I think about how much one simple invitation can mean.

Because it’s never just about the food, the challah, or the Shabbat dinner.

It’s about making someone feel seen. Making them feel loved. Giving them a place where they belong, no matter where they are in their Jewish journey.

It’s about giving someone the opportunity to discover a part of themselves they may not even know is there.

And maybe, just maybe, one Friday night will spark a connection to Judaism that stays with them forever.

And if one Shabbat dinner can change someone’s life, what a privilege it is to be the ones opening the door. 🥹❤️#jewish #jewishcollegestudent #jewishmiami by @yehudisoflo

And it’s my biggest honour 🥹🩷✨#jewish #shabbat #jewishcollegestudent #israel by @yehudisoflo

It’s never just challah. 🥹❤️

Every week, as I prepare challah for the 30 Jewish college students who will be sitting around our Shabbat table, I think about YOU.

As I make the challah, I pray for you.

I pray that you find happiness. That you feel loved. That you find clarity in whatever you’re struggling with. That you find the strength to overcome your challenges and the courage to become the person you’re meant to be.

I know some of you are far from home. Some of you are carrying struggles you don’t talk about. Some of you are still figuring out who you are, where you belong, and what being Jewish means to you.

And I want you to know something.

**You’re not just another guest at our Shabbat table.**

You’re someone I think about. Someone I pray for. Someone whose happiness and future genuinely matter to me.

When I take that challah out of the oven, I don’t just see bread.

I see 30 Jewish souls who deserve to feel loved, valued, and connected.

My hope is that you leave our home with more than a full stomach.

I hope you leave knowing that you belong, that you matter, and that you always have a home with us.

**Because when I make challah for you, I’m not just preparing food. I’m praying for your future.** ❤️

This one’s personal. 🤍

At 14, I decided to start keeping Shabbat, and that one decision changed the entire trajectory of my life.

I never could have imagined where that decision would lead me, the people it would bring into my life, or the purpose it would give me.

I was blessed to find Rabbi Josh, and together, for nearly 10 years, we’ve been building a life we’re incredibly proud of.

But the truth is, it hasn’t always been easy. There have been sacrifices, challenges, moments of uncertainty, and plenty of times when we’ve had to remind ourselves why we started.

We look around at the students sitting around our Shabbat table, the friendships being formed, the Jewish connections being sparked, and the community that has become our extended family.

And suddenly, we remember why it’s all worth it.

Our goal has always been simple: to make sure every Jewish student knows how deeply valued they are, feels connected to their Judaism, and knows they have people who genuinely care about their physical and spiritual well-being.

Because sometimes one Shabbat, one conversation, or one person believing in you can change the entire trajectory of your life.

I know that because it changed mine.

And if we can be even a small part of that change for someone else, then every sacrifice is worth it. 🤍
