when life gives you pumpkins… by @yellowblock.co

I love putting together little welcome moments when friends come over. Nothing too complicated, just a few thoughtful details to make everyone feel at home. Here’s how I styled one around our cheese board.

🪑 Work with your space.
You don’t always need a dining table. A coffee table can be just as lovely.

🍂 Play with props.
Use what’s in season or what you already have at home. Pumpkins were the obvious choice for this autumn setting.

🕯️ Add elements of wonder.
Twisted candles bring a little playfulness and character.

🥣 Introduce complementary food.
We made whipped labneh with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

🍇 Let food become part of the styling.
Loose grapes, baguettes and breadsticks add warmth and texture.

Hosting doesn’t have to mean making everything from scratch. Sometimes, it’s the thought you put into bringing things together that makes people feel special. A beautiful table isn’t really about the table. It’s about how you make people feel around it. 🤎 by @yellowblock.co

Something wicked this way comes. 🥀🕯️
Our Wicked Board is a little dark, a little decadent, and deliciously sinister.

Four artisanal cheeses, eerie-inspired accompaniments, and all things deliciously dark, served on a vintage-inspired ornate silver tray.

something about autumn makes us want to put cinnamon in absolutely everything, and honestly we’re not fighting it 🍂

meet the cinnaswirl cheesecake!! our latest obsession. creamy cheesecake with all those cozy cinnamon roll flavors, finished with a warm caramel maple drizzle that makes the whole thing even better.

we may have gotten a little carried away with the spooky season theatrics, but can you blame us?? 🕯️

I’ve always loved making food feel like a performance ✨

I wanted guests to notice it before the first bite, and feel a sense of whimsy when it’s placed in front of them. It was designed to bring colour to the table and make everyone curious to try it.
