The glacier grew the closer we paddled. Arriving on a small kayak is a world away from being on a ship of any size. Crunching onto the gravel, we hauled our red kayaks up the beach and dug out our canteens and flasks.

Lunchtime was spent watching bergs bits float in the incoming tide - a freezing sculpture park open for only 13 of us. Magical.

To swim. Or not to swim.... by @yelselb

Overland to Lake Atitlan and our own Race Across the World moment!

Beautiful location and @uxlabil with breakfast views to fill us up before we head up San Pedro with our Police Escorts.

Walking up Volcan Pacaya in the mists. Not much ij the way of views but memories from melting sugary marshmallows and brewed coffee by Lester @oldtownoutfitters

Will post more when I can by @yelselb

A leg busting 1500m climb over only 5 miles through jungle.

We arrived in rain but guides had lit fire and when hot chocolate turns up everything feels better.

Delicious chicken soup from cook Lester @oldtownoutfitters .

Bed by 8.30 with little hope of sunrise....Unzipped tents to clag but still walked the final 20m to peak at 5.10 and were greeted with this memorable scene unfold.

(Knees now resting from a rocky 1500m descent).

It had been a busy day at school and when a sunset looked a possibility I headed to the water to have a conversation with the cygnets and swans.
Swimming in golden water is a wonderful end to a day whatever has happened. I hope you all have had a positive end to a day too.
