A comfort zone can feel like a safe place, until it becomes a cage.

Sometimes, the only way out is to make the move you’ve been avoiding.

An After Effects experiment combining 3D tracking and compositing.

Made under a tight deadline, so it’s not exactly how I envisioned it, but I’m glad I brought the idea to life.

I spend a lot of time on my PC, so I thought, why not build my own space inside it? A place where I can just exist, create, and share the things I find interesting. by @yllead

$Inspired by the way Liquid Glass behaves on iOS — especially around the edges. The refraction follows the shape naturally, stretching the content outward while keeping the areas closest to the edge reflected and contained before the distortion expands. I built this as a native After Effects effect so you can create that look directly in your comp, with controls for distortion, chromatic aberration, edge light, tint, shadow, and blur. No pre-comps. No expression setup. Liquid Bubble — available now. 🔗 Link in bio #AfterEffects #MotionDesign #MotionGraphics #VFX #AEPlugin LiquidGlass AdobeAfterEffects by @yllead$

Some experiments I made with ZELLIGE 2.0.

Been playing around with different footage, textures to see what I could make with it.

There's a lot more I want to try with this.

Introducing ZELLIGE 2.0

Complex visual workflows shouldn't require dozens of layers, precomps, track mattes, and expressions.

ZELLIGE turns luminance into visual structure, replacing complex workflows with a faster, cleaner process.

Less setup.
More creating.

Available now.

Made with Zellige — an After Effects plugin.

Zellige is an After Effects CEP panel that lets you build luminance-driven grid compositions directly inside AE — no third-party renderers, no external tools, just a clean panel and your footage.

It comes with two tools:

PixelSynth splits any layer into luminance zones — dark, mid, bright — and maps a custom video or composition to each zone using extract effects and track mattes. Everything gets organized automatically into a SOURCE comp with a Levels adjustment you can tweak, and a final ZONES comp placed exactly where your original layer was on the timeline.

CellMap fills your composition with a grid of tiles where each tile's playback is driven by the brightness of the corresponding pixel in your source footage. Bright areas play further into the clip, dark areas play from the beginning — giving you a grid-based visual that reacts directly to your footage's luminance in real time inside AE.

The animation focuses on 3D motion design, smooth transitions, and minimal visual storytelling shaping ideas into movement rather than overloading the frame. Each scene was designed, animated, and refined to feel intentional and balanced.
