POSTS STORIES REELS

I’m SO excited to finally announce my next book 🐾📘
And yes, the main characters are my furbabies, Roxy and Daisy!

This story is all about our furry friends using love, fun, and adventure to teach kids how to cross the street safely. Because when learning feels joyful, lessons last a lifetime 👶🏼🐾

I chose to publish it on March 20, 2026, which is World Storytelling Day, because what better way to share a story that truly matters?

As a mom, this book is close to my heart. I have seen far too many heartbreaking stories about pedestrian accidents involving children. I wanted to use my love for books to create something meaningful that helps protect our kids through learning.

The book teaches simple but powerful street safety habits like listening to crossing guards, looking both ways before crossing, staying alert, and avoiding distractions like phones or playing with friends near the road. These small lessons can make a huge difference.

So here come Roxy and Daisy, ready to guide kids with love, fun, and important life lessons 🐶 🐕
Our children’s safety matters.

Independent authors know exactly how
I feel! 😂

The struggle to sell even ONE book is real! You really have to do it ALL yourself. Writing, hiring editors, hiring illustrators, hiring a book designer, marketing, promoting... and when it’s all said and done, you’re easily $5K+ in, spending money you really don’t have.

But it’s all worth it because you get to do what you love.
You get to put a great book into a child’s hands and see their little face light up because of something YOU created.

So when that “BOOK SOLD” email comes through? Baby, that’s a WIN for me!

📚 DID YOU KNOW?

A new international assessment finds that reading performance among American 15-year-olds has fallen to one of its lowest points on record. That means more students are reaching high school without the reading skills they need to understand increasingly complex material.

We can’t ignore this. But we also can’t wait for someone else to fix it.

Let’s start with change. Let’s start with YOU.❤️

Early literacy matters. And it starts long before our children enter high school.

👶🏽 Read to them when they’re little.
🎶 Sing to them.
📖 Make story time part of your routine.
🧩 Combine learning with play.
📱 Set limits on phone and screen time.
❤️ And most importantly… make reading FUN!

A child who grows up seeing books as something exciting, comforting, and enjoyable is building more than reading skills, they’re building a foundation for learning.

So today, let’s put down the phones, pick up a book, and spend a few minutes reading together.

Change doesn’t always start in a classroom.

Sometimes, it starts at home… with a parent, a child, and a book.📚❤️

👉🏽 What book are you reading with your little one this week? Tell me in the comments!

Why is it important to DREAM?

Having dreams and visions about your future gives you a sense of purpose, boosts your motivation, and acts as a mental guide. It helps you stay optimistic, fuels personal growth, and pushes you to take action toward your goals.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ by @yolandajpigatt

The first five years of a child’s life are a period of rapid brain development, and exposure to language plays an important role in that growth.

When children hear stories, join conversations, and encounter new ideas, their brains form important connections that build knowledge and support future learning.

The key to a strong start? Talk, read, and sing often. 📖

Books can change lives. 📚✨
A book can inspire a child to dream bigger, help them see themselves in a story, teach them something new, or simply remind them that they matter.

Never underestimate the power of a book. ❤️
