Two years of You Vs You!! It’s hard to put into words what this little studio has come to mean to our family. What started as an idea between the two of us has grown into a place filled with incredible trainers, amazing clients, friendships, stories, and a community we’re incredibly proud of 💪🏼 And along the way, baby Jon Nix joined the team! Every person who has walked through our doors, trusted one of our trainers, referred a friend, left us a review, liked a post, or simply told someone about us has played a part in keeping a small, local, family-owned business alive! We are so grateful for you! Especially here in Austin... There are much bigger gyms and much bigger businesses out there. So every time someone chooses You Vs You, they’re choosing to support real people, our team, and our family. Two years down, and there is still so much we want to build. From our family to yours, thank you for believing in us and allowing us to do what we love. Happy 2 years, You Vs You. ❤️ We’re just getting started. #YouVsYou #AustinFitness #FamilyOwned #SmallBusiness #PersonalTraining by @you_vs_you_studio
To You Vs You clients.. This dream of ours is literally impossible without your support. You have no idea how special everyone that walks through our gym is to us. Not only are you our clients but, good friends! Thank you so much for making it possible for us to have made it one year as a full fledged personal training studio! Thank you for believing in us… Happy one year You vs You!! #austinfitnesscommunity #smallbuisnessowner #northaustin #personaltraining #ʏᴏᴜᴠsʏᴏᴜ #studioowner #gymowner by @you_vs_you_studio
Thank you to everyone coming to our community walk! We have the best clients, friends and family supporting You vs. You 💪🏼 A special thanks to @drinksupercoffee @artisanaustin and @thestretchmobilitycoachwparmer for making this event possible #communitywalk #walkwalkwalk #walkclub #austinfitnesscommunity #roundrock #personaltraining #northaustin by @you_vs_you_studio
Good coaching is about more than counting reps. It’s about knowing when to push, when to adjust, and how to get the most out of every movement. And when it’s time to push intensity MATTERS. Week over week if the intensity stays the same the results will too #YouVsYou #PersonalTraining #StrengthTraining #AustinFitness #pushup by @you_vs_you_studio
You know it’s a fake smile when you’re halfway through a set of lunges 😆 We appreciated it anyway ❤️ #YouVsYou #AustinFitnesscommunity #PersonalTraining #LegDay #roundrocktx by @you_vs_you_studio
Landmine squat accessories with Carlos! Gyms With limited machines can still get great squat accessories that mirror things like hack squat. Squat shoes recommended, and if not things like a wedge or plates for a heel rise work. Lean BACK into the plate and load the bar on one side. Keep an upright torso, get LOW and feel those quads burn! #northaustin #personaltraining #austinfitnesscommunity #legday #quadworkout by @you_vs_you_studio
Sometimes we get so caught up in who we think we are that we forget to challenge those beliefs. “I’m not athletic.” “I’m not disciplined.” “I’m just not that kind of person.” But how much of that is actually true, and how much is just a story you’ve been telling yourself for years? You might be capable of a lot more than you think. Maybe it’s time to test that theory. 💪 #YouVsYou #FitnessMindset #PersonalGrowth #AustinFitness #SelfImprovement by @you_vs_you_studio
First and third pics were yesterday, second (green shorts) were 6 weeks ago. How I lost 12+ pounds and dropped approximately 3% body fat in a little over a month. 1. Calorie Balance I estimated my maintenance calories using experience and calculators, then cut that by 10-15%. For me, because I’m very active, that came out to around 2,900 calories daily. 2. Food Journaling / Weighing Apps like MyFitnessPal help, but portion sizes are on you. I wasn’t on a strict diet. I ate flexibly and weighed my food in grams to help estimate calories, even when my wife cooked or we ordered out. 3. Train Hard You think you train hard? I do too. But I realized I was leaving reps on the table and occasionally letting technique slip. Even after all these years of training, I needed to hold myself accountable. 4. Protein, Protein, Protein I’m sure you’re tired of hearing it, but protein matters! As a business owner, husband, and father, I hardly have time to eat some days. Processed or not, convenient protein snacks like my fourth picture help me reach my goals. It’s not always practical to have a perfectly prepared meal. Nothing revolutionary here. Just practicing what I preach, staying consistent, and making things work with my lifestyle. Some of that initial weight loss was likely water weight, but my goal remains losing fat while maintaining muscle. #YouVsYou #AustinFitness #FatLoss #PersonalTraining #StrengthTraining by @you_vs_you_studio
A small adjustment can make a big difference. 💪 Let’s make barbells and dumbbells a bigger part of your personal routine! When it comes to dumbbell curls, how you position your wrists and move through the exercise can change what you’re getting out of it. Train with intention ON tension, Range of motion and most importantly being pain free 😃 #YouVsYou #AustinFitness #StrengthTraining #PersonalTraining #GymTips by @you_vs_you_studio
Thank you to the URC for letting You vs You instruct and teach strength training! Awesome group, great energy, and a lot of first-timers getting after it! Strength training should be the foundation for overall health and longevity. All you really need is a couple of dumbbells and bands at the end of the day! #urc #austinfitness #personaltraining #northaustin #longetivity by @you_vs_you_studio
When Archit first started training with our leg extension machine he had a simple goal.. He wanted to stack the ENTIRE thing with weights and do it with control. That day came and look at that strength 🎉 #northaustin #austinfitnesscommunity #cedarpark #legday #personaltrainingAustin by @you_vs_you_studio
