J’ai entendu un « tchorit tchorit… ».

I heard a little “chori-chori…”
Could it be a Japanese Leaf Warbler?

Warblers all look so alike,
and it’s difficult to tell them apart.

A great tit is looking at me.
At the foot of the tree, liriope in flower.
Looking closely at the slender flower spike…

A jay I met on the mountain path.
He came so close to me.

On the way back, I found a single feather, like a little letter 🪶

La mésange à longue queue.
Son chant m’a révélé sa présence.
Vive et agile, toujours en mouvement.

The long-tailed tit.
Its song revealed its presence.
Lively and agile, always on the move.

Il pleut sans arrêt ces derniers temps…
J’ai ajouté un arrière-plan à mon martin-pêcheur de l’autre jour.
La lumière du soleil me manque.

It’s been raining non-stop lately…
I’ve added a background to my kingfisher from the other day.
I’m looking forward to some sunshine.

While I watched the water, a kingfisher came and settled close by — a lovely, quite unexpected surprise.

In a corner of the flower shop, I sensed a hint of autumn.
