#pittsburgh #mckeesport We’ve been following the food and housing deficits across the Mon-Valley and Allegheny County. Over 59% of our local youth reported facing food or housing insecurity—and the toll on their well-being is undeniable. Nearly half (49%) named Mental Health as a top priority, with over 64% of them carrying the heavy stress of housing instability or wondering where their next meal is coming from.

Healing our community starts by making sure our youth have their basic needs met.

Do you know a family or young person who could use community, or some extra support? Use the link in our bio to request support from our mutual aid fund. No strings attached. 🖤🌱 by @yvac_edu

Help us celebrate @ziggy.wrld , @yvac365 Parent Organizer, and Carlos, our 2026 Building Steward! 🎉

Both were inducted into the Parents as Builders Fellowship and will soon graduate! 👏🏾

These two incredible#BlackFathers show up every day, not just for their own children, but for the babies navigating failing public schools and students impacted by the school-to-prison pipeline.

Because of what they’re building, more parents will have access to the crucial skills, knowledge, and information they need to understand and protect their students’ rights.

We’re proud to see Midwest parents leading, learning, and building power for the next generation.

Thank you to @engageddetroit and @nationalparentsunion for including Detroiters in the fight for equity in education. ✊🏾#ReimagineEducation by @yvac_edu
