A few years ago, Levi’s sent me a pallet of jeans for a project that never happened. Now I’m turning that denim into something new every week until @levis reaches out to work on another project. I was out of town visiting family in Ohio this week, so I’m a little behind on sewing. In the meantime, here’s a look at the original project. A giant peace sign made from a gradient of denim back pockets. (I realized later I opened the 🤘sign not the ✌️sign) I got as far as cutting out the pockets before the project went cold. Now I’ve got a whole bunch of pockets to work with. Got any ideas for what I should make next? Drop them in the comments. New project coming this weekend. #Levis #UpcycledDenim #DenimUpcycling #DIYProjects #CreativeChallenge by @zach_smith_j

A few years ago, Levi’s sent me an entire pallet of jeans for a project that never happened. They’ve been sitting in my garage ever since. So here’s the plan. Every week, I’m turning some of those jeans into something new until @levis reaches out to work on another project. Let’s see how long this takes. #Levis #UpcycledDenim #DenimUpcycling #DIYProjects #CreativeChallenge by @zach_smith_j

❤️ One year later… We had a special reason to celebrate yesterday with these amazing humans! It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since the accident that changed everything at Gelato 101 in Encinitas. In a moment, our little patio, a place meant for happiness, laughter, and community, became the scene of something none of us could have ever imagined. One year later, we are still working to rebuild and reopen our doors. The journey has been longer and more challenging than we ever expected, but through it all, we’ve been reminded of what truly matters. Above everything else, the greatest blessing is that River has recovered and is doing well. Knowing that he is healthy and happy brings us endless gratitude.❤️ As difficult as this experience has been, it has also brought moments of incredible kindness, compassion, strength, and connection. It has reminded us how fragile life can be, how much good there is in people, and how even the darkest moments can lead to something positive. Today, we remember that day not only for what happened, but for how far we’ve all come since. We are grateful for River’s recovery, for everyone who supported his family and Gelato 101, and for the opportunity to keep moving forward with hope in our hearts. We remember and celebrate the miracle that happened that day, and move past the stress and hardship. We look forward to the day we can welcome everyone back, share smiles over a scoop of gelato, and celebrate new beginnings together. It won’t be much longer we are almost there.🍦❤️ One year later, we choose gratitude over fear, hope over hardship, and love over everything. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. With love and gratitude, Gelato 101 ❤️ #Gelato101encinitas #riverstrong #miracleriver #Community #StrongerTogether by @zach_smith_j
