The world is made of stories. So are you! I turned life into a planetary adventure to find the others and rewrite the big story into a game of purpose
POSTS STORIES REELS
If the future sounds boring, nobody's going to move there. Boring stories are dead stories, and dead stories crack. That crack is where the next world gets in. I spent Climate Week watching brilliant people explain the end of the world in parts per million while the room quietly checked its phones. The impact world is over-engineered and under-felt. We have the data, the credits and the frameworks. What's missing is a story anyone wants to walk into. If saving the world bores us, we wrote it wrong. Your life and brand and the solutions you carry works the same way. Look at the job you describe on autopilot, the pitch you could give in your sleep and the version of yourself you've been performing for years. Every one of those has a crack in it. That yawn is the doorway, and the adventure you've been circling your whole life is waiting on the other side. So find the most boring story you're still telling and crack it open. Within it is an enormous QUESTion that invites people into a whole new world. The fascists and cult brands understand implicitly that your boredom is POWERFUL. Humans MOVE based on emotion and enthusiasm not raw data or rational explanations that kill the sex appeal of a future that is most exciting when it is OPEN and INVITATIONAL - don't get me started on the narrative neuroscience of WHY- or what happens when you throw yourself headlong into the mythopoetic dimension of stories that creates the world - and makes it a boring apocalypse OR a vibrant adventure into the future. What's the boring story you're ready to crack? by @zacharycmarlow
Imagine manifestering your way deeper into the veil of maya - when you could go even further by actually feeling the meaning of your life and connecting it to a greater story way beyond your bank account Ironically, having a purpose beyond your self indulgence and escapism is much more valuable. Manifestation is not woo, its applied neuroscience that has been used forever by the most powerful people to create the world - banks manifest money - governments manifest consent to govern - most of us are manifesting the problems that plague us, because the mind and culture around it is a narrative engine that runs on belief and filters for its story. If you want to learn how to do this kind of stuff - ie how to radically change your self and your life and even the world, tell me your story. What would you do if you had the power to author the future? If its bigger than you, we can absolutely help. The people who give a damn need to learn this power - or rather how to use it consciously, the smartest people on earth are unconsciously co authoring the fallen state of the world and their own miseries. These are all stories. Which means we can rewrite them! #manifestation #manifesting #story # by @zacharycmarlow
How did I go from that unemployed friend spreading radical propaganda to tripping around europe with a mysterious source of income?? For a start, everything they told us about business was a lie. What if you could just tell the truth and spread light and get paid to help only people you truly love? Its kinda easy: the whole world is made of words, and the more precisely you can express your unique truth with STORY, the more you filter the wrong people and attract the right ones. So... Express yourself uncomfortably. BE WEIRD. Don't be afraid to offend the wrong people in ways that call in your people ready to play. One of my best clients (I fucking LOVE every one of them- imagine that!) found me off one drunk linkdin post roasting the business crowd AND the ineffectaul do gooders...everyone around me including paid biz coach was like - don't post that. That shitpost story made me $6500. Stop listening to experts and sane people and start following that crazy voice within you ablaze with higher purpose. Get out there and STAND FOR SOMETHING or you will blow away in the wind, spend your life working for someone else as a background character or worse, like one of my community members - she hates her clients and feels like their servant, it blew her mind to tell her THAT is a story she can rewrite into attracting ONLY awesome ppl aligned with her mission... Because like me she believed the STORY they told us that business has to be a certain way, that the world just is what it is and we just have to accept it. Fuck that! I'm here to prove another world is possible. And make the system failures of capitalism the REASON we beat them in a new game. I figured this out over a decade of death and rebirth that took me all across the planet and transformed my life into an adventure that gets better every day, now I'm on a quest to find the changemakers, visionaries and builders creating the new world and helping them wield the most ancient tech of all - STORY to rewrite reality itself and get paid to do it - forreal! If that sounds like you, say something weird, tell me a story and if its a genuinely good one I could help you make it reality 🤠 by @zacharycmarlow
COSMOLOCALISM is an emerging political economy that connects hyperlocal production with global interconnected technological systems- everything heavy is local and sovereign, everything light is shared and global. Beyond the market and the state is a third way, the commons, the economic space of the family, the convivial sharing of resources within clear boundaries, stewarded by community rather than owned by private or state forces. We return to the mother of the land aligned with nature and healthy locality, indigenous lifeways, human social systems built on trust and contribution...yknow, where most of your happy memories and experiences live - only with the return of the healthy father of technology, structures that enable funding, innovation and even more advanced distributed tech beyond corporate or state control. What an honor to be here side by side with the great Michel Bauwens, someone I count among the great thinkers of ALL TIME, came out of a stroke and near death experience after an epic life building toward this civilization scale vision. I relate so deeply to this man's life story, his intrepid evolution through the ages, and his true devotion to humanity, to knowledge, to the commons. I am gracious to be at the commons hub here in austria, one of the great meccas of technological and economic thought, to help midwife this vision into the valley of the commons. Years begging for change prepared me to boldly invite millions of investment for a new civilizational initiative to bring back the commons through the power of the political economy of peer production. What an honor to be a part of this initiative. Full launch video on @commonshubat youtube It begins. #cosmolocal #bioregional #peertopeer #postleft #story by @zacharycmarlow
Bring. On. The. Doom. One of the things I most appreciated about my conversation with @zacharycmarlow was him compassionately calling me out to rewrite tired narratives, in real time. What deserves to be DOOMED? Bring on the doom! It might be the portal we need to walk through to create something new. The full conversation is up on my Substack. Check it out. Narrating the Possible is a live interview series featuring interdisciplinary thinkers, exploring how we can reclaim agency and cultivate possibility in an algorithmic world. About me: Hi, I’m a PhD candidate, researcher and educator, exploring how we find meaning, construct identity, and protect our agency in the age of automation. Follow along as we decode the systems shaping our lives, and reclaim the narrative. #narratingthepossible #doom #postdoom #postcapitalism #possibility by @zacharycmarlow
I dreamt the world was miserable - and it was I dreamt humanity destroyed itself and made life meaningless for fictions we invented - and it was true I dreamt the end of my own life - and it happened And I woke up into the reality That life is what we dream and mean it I turned my existence into endless adventure across the planet Realized I didn't need money, I had story Used this power to make my own life awesome Grow movements, organizations, build community Craft political narratives up to the presidential level Conjure the whole future And actually make it pay because turns out business is all a game and when you give it a story it becomes- easiness And here's where YOU come in! You know those dreams kicking around in your head? The ones the world NEEDS but BAD STORIES beat down and convinced you arent possible or realistic or fundable or possible?? THEY ARE, BUT You need the story that makes them real This is where imagination stops being make believe And makes the fuckin world move! Great news, you can turn your problems into stories, make your dreams real and make it pay too WITHOUT all the dying and being reborn and you don't have to live without money actually the new story needs you to live really fucking well and create the abundance that reverses the distribution toward the right future Its called METAMYTH and it WILL change everything...if -you are brave enough to commit -have a purpose bigger than you -or/and truly know you're made for more And it works in weeks not years and it gets you paid to dream your dream! It starts by declaring your dream right here right now! by @zacharycmarlow
My story mandated that I spend the summer in Italy basking in waterfalls, eating 4 hour meals and eating gelato for survival in the heat wave of a warming world. The new world is already here. For better or worse. The timelines are both running and go all the way, the one where we destroy oursleves for our excuses and the one where we wake up to the awesome possibilities of a new story... and the one where we rewrite the story! You have no idea how fast and totally your life can transform when you just SEE THE STORY and write it anew. I believe in you, I believe in us, and I'm here to help you find your way out! by @zacharycmarlow
First I used story to escape reality. That almost killed me. Then I found the real story IN reality- almost killed me too. Now I help other characters take back their stories to change reality into our movie- and it fully sustains us both! If you're ready to yell CUT on the old story, who is stopping you from dropping your story in the comments? I literally do not care to use this power for anyone who isnt here to change the world, but if you have a purpose bigger than you or want to find it, just yell ACTION and its on! What if you're already on a great adventure? And if you become the storyteller of your own life you get to make it what you want? What if changing your whole life, becoming your highest self, creating your masterpiece, finding your people, and changing the damn world is all one story away? Does that sound like you? by @zacharycmarlow
This is gonna trigger both sides like money triggers each of us into fear or greed. Money isn't a resource, its a story. Which means we can rewrite it! And just like it rewrote the laws of the world and became more real than life itself, if we change that story, we can transform everything. Are you carrying a purpose bigger than money? Tell us your story! #storytelling #story #moneymagic #manifestation #postcapitalism by @zacharycmarlow
You can't tell me lasagna isn't a cake! This year was the hardest I've ever endured. It was a total death and rebirth. I lost everything, I changed everything. I gave up on all my old dreams and identities that were ultimately incompatible with the story, and I came back from hell with the good news that you can change too, without going through the hell I did, much faster and all you have to do is change the story. I came into 33 a recovering revolutionary living in a trailer, a turn of the sun later I'm in Italy, with a house in colombia, on a real mission, with money in my pocket, a team, a dream that is not just a dream. I am helping other people through exactly what I struggled through. That's the magic of storytelling - everything you went through you are qualified to help others through. To sacrifice the old self as every true hero does means to make your life sacred, to turn it into a story and give it away. The older I get the more deaths I've lived, the stranger I get and the more humbled in the awe of the journey and the gift that is this life, a gift that exists for you. by @zacharycmarlow
