@citroen nailed the BX 16 valve, and not many people even know it exists. Only around 20 still exist in Germany and estimates say less than 100 still run and drive. @abarth really nailed their value proposition with the 595. It’s a small city car with some kick, it’s light on its feet and sounds pretty damn good. Here’s some videos of it going through a Bavarian mountain pass….

The @porsche 924 was released as an entry model into the Porsche ecosystem, the design was originally made for VW, VW then chickened out of actually making it, so Porsche essentially said “fine, I’ll do it myself”…

And that’s what the 924 is, it’s perfectly imperfect, it has the engine from an Audi 100, door handles from a VW Golf and suspension parts from the Beetle. But that doesn’t make it any less Porsche.

It’s full of charm, full of life, it has a deep burble, a clunky two step door handle and mechanical pop ups that make it unequivocally 80s. And I want one…

This morning @zack_iw dropped by Aston Martin Mayfair and kindly lent us this stunning DB12 for a review and, truthfully, we’re still thinking about it.

The DB12 is rare, not because it’s unattainable, but because so few modern cars leave this sort of impression. It makes even the shortest, most ordinary journey feel special.
