Jolly good start to 2023! by @zanitafletcher

A paper accordion of love notes for dad’s birthday.

Got so teary putting this together with my fam. So touched by the generosity of dad’s loved ones to send through such lengthy, thoughtful letters, even when we just asked for something short.

Far too often we leave this stuff for the lectern and the folded programme with a nice photo. And while I hope we’ve got a few more sweet decades with dad, you really just never know.

So here’s to laughing about the good ol’ days now and telling those we love why we do.

spent all winter with a bung arm and a hot water bottle down my shirt, but after looking through my camera roll all I can say is “what a good time.” by @zanitafletcher

Look out at the world, take a deep breath, and be amazed. It’s the only appropriate response.

🇳🇵Nepal, 2024 by @zanitafletcher

Very belated Nepal update coming soon (because who has time to post in the moment these days). But first, this man deserves his own spot on the grid.

Meet Bhim. For days I thought his name was ‘Beam’ — which felt more fitting considering the LIGHT he is! ✨ Even when carrying the equivalent of his body weight strapped to his head, or tending to our altitude-stricken side-effects, he did so with glad-hearted gusto.

I don’t think a day went by where I didn’t spot him looking over the mountains saying, “Ohhh ... I’m so happy.” Always followed by a little chuckle and a long exhale.

He brought so much laughter and joy to our trip and reminded us daily that the good stuff is in the simple stuff: mountains, people, dancing, and a hot cup of masala chai.

If you ever go trekking in Nepal, take @bhim.rai.18062
I promise, it’ll be way more fun. by @zanitafletcher

one month of slow days, mint teas, street cats, blistered feet, bazaars and souks, pastel de natas, prayer calls, mum and dad <3, dusty rugs, cheap falafels, saltier seas, surfs and skates. ah life what a treat. - dec 2023

Bravo! Hitched + honeymooned. “Che la vita sia bella” to my newest brother and my favourite sister. May your life together be beautiful and adventurous and may black friday sales forever fund your expenses for life on the water. by @zanitafletcher

“Fitting it all in” was the anthem of the day, squeezing 30 of my favourite things into 30 hours to celebrate the number that is so - waking up outside, fire at the fort, full moon surf, hiking, time to reflect + give thanks, family kayak, penning poems, making friends, açai, sunrise + sunset, hot chips, skating, climbing rocks, ocean dips, hearty garden meals, gathering of people . . . and the list went on. Someone said it’s all downhill from here. But that depends on how you look at it. I prefer downhill. It’s easier and you’re more sure of where you’re going.
