Our new fall dessert — candied pumpkin & qaimaq.

candied pumpkin with cardamom-lemon syrup, creamy qaimaq and almond crumble made with ghee. finished with fresh mint, sumac and olive oil. by @zarakvancouver

am i supposed to eat the popcorn off the matcha or stir it in? i still don’t know. @zarakvancouver, please advise.

the popcorn iced matcha latte is fun, but the Afghan breakfast is the real reason to go. it’s one of my favorite breakfast plates in all of vancouver and i will not be taking questions. the karak chai was great too, even if my biscuit ended up swimming in my husband’s cup. that one’s on me.

eat it or stir it in? settle this for me in the comments.

(paid for my own meal, opinions are always mine)

Jawari 🌽

Built around corn in all its forms. Roasted corn-infused tequila, Nixta Licor de Elote, Amaro Nardini and sakura bitters.

Finished with the toasted trim from our house cornbread — turning what would normally be an offcut into the final bite of the cocktail.
