So grateful in this moment for everything that is If I Go, Will They Miss Me!! 🤍

From the first day on set to finally seeing this story come to life, I’m so grateful for every person who helped make this project what it became. Thank you to our director @mychivas , the cast, crew, writers, producers, pre/post production teams, mr @jonbatiste and other artist for beautiful music, and everyone behind the scenes who gave their time, talent, and heart to this film. Extra special love to those who took care of me on set from day 1 and became like family, even showing up to my dance comps and my sweet 16.

Thank you to my team, Mrs. DaVida(@davidachanel )and Matt (@ariseartistsagency ), for all of your support.

Thank you to casting director Alan Luna (@mralanluna )and his team for giving me the opportunity to bring Acacia to life.

Thank you to Macro (@staymacro and @iamcharlesdking ) and Rich Spirit Films ( @richspiritfilms )for believing in this beautiful project and blessing me with the opportunity to see myself in theaters, and thank you to all the ambassadors for helping get more eyes on the film!

Thank you to my mom and grandparents for being on set with me every step of the way and always believing in me.

Sending so much love to everyone in Nickerson Gardens who made the experience such a good one. And thank you to everyone who watched, supported, shared, showed up, or simply cheered us on along the way. 🫶🏾✈️🫶🏾

This project gave me memories, lessons, and people I’ll carry with me long after the credits. I’m so proud of what we created together.

If I Go, Will They Miss Me (@IfIGoWillTheyMissMe) is officially living, breathing, and taking on a life of its own. 🎬🎞️🤍
Until the next story…

Meet the amazing actors of ATS who helped bring each character to life! 🌌💫

Up Next: Zaria Kelley

Character: CJ / a unique kid who seamlessly moves between two distinct worlds. If not on the court, she can be found studying the night sky, unraveling the mysteries of the universe. There are two things she never leaves the house without: her polariod camera and special gold necklace. CJ isn't just watching the stars, she's searching for her place amongst them, and you can't help but want to tag along for the ride.

Be sure to follow her journey @zariasdream
**Fun Fact: Zaria's favorite song is 'PrettyLittleBirds' by SZA

Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to attend a private screening with my Lil Sis, @zariasdream who I first had the pleasure of working with back in 2017 when I choreographed the theater show she was part of.

I’ve been blessed to stay connected with her and her mother @blkrarenbeutful over the years, so watching her grow and shine in this project was beautiful. Even more meaningful was realizing that one of the producers is also someone whose child I had the opportunity to teach years ago.

Different relationships, different moments—but somehow, life brought them full circle into the same room.

So much of my life has been about working with young people, teaching, mentoring, and helping them see what’s possible.

And this story hit me deeply as a father of a son.

There’s something powerful about knowing your son can look at you like you’re a god—stronger, wiser, larger than life. And sometimes, as fathers, we quietly wrestle with the fear of falling short.

In our desire to protect our sons from what we experienced, we can forget that they still need our presence, attention, and love.

Maybe fatherhood isn’t about being perfect. Maybe it’s about being present—and giving your son someone worth looking up to while still allowing him to see your humanity.

What I love about this film is how it reimagines urban culture. A story rooted in Watts, seen through the lens of Greek mythology and touched by faith, reminds us that imagination is free.

Everything we see began as someone’s imagination. The lack of resources doesn’t mean a lack of vision. Sometimes, the less we have, the more we’re invited to imagine.

Our stories matter. Our communities matter. And we have the freedom to tell them in ways only we could imagine.

Congratulations to the cast, writers, producers, and everyone who brought this vision to life—and to my Lil Homegirl.

And a special shoutout to @amazinggraceconservatory Amazing Grace Conservatory Acting School for bringing their students together for this private screening and creating a space to celebrate the young talent shining in this film.

This is only the beginning.

🎬✨ Join us in congratulating our very own @zariasdream & @j_kingofficial on their roles in If I Go, Will They Miss Me!

We are extremely proud of you both. This is a true testament to your hard work, dedication, and commitment to your craft. Always remember: hard work will always pay off in the end. There are no small roles, only small actors.

For most, seeing yourself on the big screen is a dream and AMC made that dream even more special by gifting us a private screening in celebration of our students who are featured in the film! 🎥❤️

Being able to sit together as a family, laugh, cry, cheer, and celebrate these incredible young artists was truly so meaningful. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do and why representation, opportunity, and community matter so much.

A very special thank you to @amctheatres & Nikkole Denson-Randolph for making this celebration possible, and to our incredible board members @isadorehall , Jackie Honore Elam, and Mechel Elam for helping make this unforgettable experience happen.

Zaria & Jeremiah, we see you, we celebrate you, and we are so proud of you! Keep dreaming. Keep working. Keep trusting your gifts. 🌟 by @zariasdream
